This one was forsale last year... a guy I know picked it up in the last few months... 15k original miles original paint etc... beautiful original interior and most original exhaust.
Like my Father, I sometimes don't know when to call a halt... And I am curious if anyone else has seen the price of gas drop over the past month. With so much craziness at the moment, one would think the opposite..
Today, at 'Corvette Day' at the Larz Anderson Museum in Brookline, MA
1971, nearly as from factory, but for the tires. Otherwise untouched. Current owner bought it from his Uncle's estate, IIRC. It's been in the family for 38 years.
And mine. Only two LT-1s at the show. I didn't do an inventory, but the far greatest majority of cars were of the much younger set, tho the same couldn't be said for the drivers!
@firstgenaddict rare color for the blue one, I like it !! Though it's a pity the car has no PB.
Laguna : I agree you ! The laguna colorway is my best of all. Unfortunately , as far as I know only available on 70 LT-1. My favorite combo is Laguna gray + saddle. Le grand chic ! Steel Cities was a 2nd best of choice so I'm not disappointed.
@Dirty Dalton Great picts ! You're looking at price trends through Hagerty ?
By the way, have you experienced to loose a bolt or any object on the body of the front fenders. You know just on the side where you have the wipper door. I you have a tip to access this "hole of the death" I'll buy it !

I dropped a 3/16th spanner into the hole of no return but fished it out with a magnet on some string. It resists as the magnet snags other metal at the top of the HOD so you need to force it down just passed the top. I used a wooden stirrer that I steal from the coffee shops
@brit vet Thank you Brit ! I finally got it. I've used a mix of old school and mix of tech.
I remembered I have an endoscope. Linkink a magnet to the endoscope gathered with a "mid stiff" electric wire I did it !
He are the pictures
And here is a sceen shot from the win gnut where it was lying

I am the current owner of that car. I've spent the last few months sorting the car. It's a great driving car and runs killer!
The car aill be available in the near future.

From barn find to best Classic Corvette in 4 months at our biggest show in the north of England. Took both LT-1's on Saturday and was told my red one would not be judged having won last year so it was down to ol yellow. My mate Simon who drove the red one pitched in with the wife late into Friday evening with final prep
Plan now is to go through the suspension over the winter but enjoy it through the rest of the summer
Now, as real mountains go, it doesn't really qualify... but I see this excited younger couple standing beside my car
"It's Dad's car!!!" "You mean it's like Dad's car?" "NO! I mean this was Dad's! His first Corvette! See the name 'The Plastic Pig'! That what the guy calls it!"
Pretty hilarious.
And, here's 'Dad'. What a hoot. I learned a few new stories, including about the 'finger-grabbing' wiper door, that held his ring finger captive for about 40 minutes as he was early getting to work, couldn't reach into the car to open the the door, and had to wait for someone, and then explain how to open the wiper door.
Pretty nice day - all ya locals shoulda been there..

What a great looking car, restored in a very short time. Congrats for your trophee ! It's deserved.
@Dirty Dalton The "Finger grabbed story" made me laught, though that's not that funny when you're the guy "in" the situation. It could have been worse. Imagine a bad guy coming and taking everything he wants, wallet money, TV... and you just can look at him doing its robbery !
Speaking of awards...
My Original paint never restored 1971 Brandshatch Green LT1 scored Top Flight at the NATIONAL NCRS show and 100pct in operations... total score is in the range of 97% if not over...
WHICH MEANS I AM NOT DONE...
NEXT STEP is PERFORMANCE VERIFICATION at LAKELAND FLORIDA next FEB then to the Nationals next year in Indiana for another Flight judging and a DUNTOV AWARD!
DUNTOV = 97% top flight at a national PLUS Performance Verification ensuring everything works as designed.
AND YES I DRIVE MINE... OFTEN!

That’s incredible and it’s unrestored!!!
(Pretty pathetic I live in Naples and can’t get my ‘70 up the road 200 miles to Kissimmee)
In the 1990-1992 timeframe I did a frame off of an unrestored ‘71 LT-1 coupe. Second Flighted (about 93) at ‘92 Western NY Regional the first time out. Within weeks I moved to Florida, left the car behind and had to ultimately sell the car a couple years later. Great driving car.
Love the color.....
