LT-1 Owners Thread
Great car and kudos to you for the long term ownership -
Thank you. I haven't used this forum very often, and found this thread today for the first time, and started reading it from the beginning. The story of your purchase and import to France was very interesting to follow. I enjoyed (though didn't understand) the video of the transporter with your car and the Apache.

So you can imagine how impatient I could have been after sending the money for a car I never saw before, neither I tried.
And Jeremy whose business is specialized into US car exports, sometimes does some videos for special cars, he's handling before shipping out.
So what a delight when he offered to please me with this video showing for my car and also telling me his impressions about it. He's dealing a lot of classic cars and immediately knows if it's a crap or a good car.
While sailing on the cargo for a month, from Miami to France, instead of having my car I had a video.
This is the long story, I made long...

My Brother in Law bought this for me recently and I wondered if these were GM dealer give-aways?

Do NOT use an open end or, horror of horrors, an 'adjustable' wrench on that fitting. If you are really lucky, a little tightening will fix the drip. If you are pretty lucky, a new line from the fuel pump to carb will be the cure. If you have my kind of luck, you'll need to replace the pump, too. Nothing terribly expensive. And I confess, I'm not at all worried with respect to shows.Whenever I start mine, assuming the engine is cold, I crank it until oil pressure is up as indicated by the gauge. That cranking pretty much fills the bowls, or so it seems. Only then I press the pedal once. Crank and VROOM!
Have fun!

Meguires # 7 BY HAND...
Do not use or allow anyone to use a DA on the paint - you do not want to remove ANY of the surface texture what so ever.
LIBERALLY Apply Number 7 with a foam pad and then allow to dry over night, polish off with a cotton diaper.
After an application or three of Number 7 - go around the car with a roll of tape and indicate where there are scratches or other surface imperfections.
Use some swirl remover BY HAND and shoot for a 50% improvement in the scratch or surface imperfection.
a 50% improvement on the MACRO scale will result in a much larger than 50% improvement in the overall appearance.
When finished follow up with MEGUIRES BLACK WAX - comes in a tube.
Darker colors benefit GREATLY from the use of this wax - it is all I use on my Brandshatch Green car.
Yours doesn't have missing paint like the chips I had, however you will see an improvement as well. The black wax does not leave white residue in any lacquer checking essentially making it blend.

Beautiful car........I'm very jealous!

Perhaps this will be the year I get my *** in gear and it sees the road again! Inexplicable engine problem has bedeviled me for years now, but I'm pretty confident that it's the fuel tank or lines at this point ...mostly because I've replaced everything else!!
