Used it as a dry run for the body. Befores Before Before Before Before Before Before Before Afters After After After After After After After
Sealer, base, clear.
It was a lot of taping and let’s just say it was not my favorite part of this. When I do the body it won’t be nearly as much masking thank goodness. Trying to get this done before it starts getting hot in Florida. Which is like a few more weeks.
bragging!!!!!...we are supposed to be in the teens next weekend.....
I hear you, Rogers. The summer is like your winter here. Too hot to ride, much less do any type of work in the garage. I am installing a 18k mini split in my garage after I get done painting. Then I can keep using the garage during the summer. Cruising is only good early morning or late nights in the summer.

our summer is like yours for a good 4 weeks and its too hot and way too humid. Hopefully we get a long spring and long fall like last season, it was pretty good. That mini split is going to change your life!!! Keep up the good work on your ride, Ive been following along, wish I could paint like you
These are what the door edges look like after gaps were corrected, material added, body worked , primed, painted and cleared. Can’t wait to see them on the car. I always hated the door gaps on many of our C3’s. Flash on camera dulled the color
After block sanding got one back on the car. Probably still need to tweak the front part of the door gap a little but much better than where I started.
Rear dismantled. Passenger door back in and car down on the ground. A little more to get those gaps right. Hood back on and aligned. Need to trim up the hood gap on the passenger side to get it right. Slowly but surely.
Those gaps look nice! Have you checked them for door opening clearance with one end of the car or the other jacked up? Hate to see all that great work get chipped out if a door binds a little.
I know most people don’t open doors with one end up, but sometime you might forget, you know?

I had the front end up when I put the door back on. I’m still working through some of the lines and I’ll give myself a little more clearance.
