I’ve tried to paint a few small things over the years and know it’s not on my list of great accomplishments.

Parts with a rattle can, I’m as good as the best, anything more than that I leave to the pros.

Indeed. I have gap envy - HA! -, and it's one of the first things I look at with just about any car, especially C3 Corvettes The gaps are awesome, and so hard to get just right. Nice work, sir! In the process of stripping my '69 down for paint, and both doors are coming off (one already is). I hope I can get them lined up this nicely. I actually asked the OP about this earlier in the thread on how he did it.

Busy weekend with kid stuff but I will try to sneak in a good washing after a little more sanding to see how the body looks cleaned off. After that, if there are any more imperfections then that will be next. When that’s done I will dedicate a day to clean clean clean the garage out then mask the car for basecoat.

And here we just have another case of a guy with too much skill and an excess of time on his hands.

Didn’t get anything done to it today unfortunately but I did sneak outside tonight and got the concrete pad poured and set for the mini split.

Great work! I am contemplating trying to do this with my car. What kind of spray equipment are you using.
I've been reading a little about the turbine systems. They kinda sound a little more forgiving for a novice.

Turbine is a great option if you don’t have a large tank. I found out about them too late in my current process. I’m using a lvlp gun and doing all my own bodywork. I knew nothing about bodywork until now and it’s moving right along.

Hard top after 4 basecoats and 4 clear coats. All that left is to mask off the car. Soon….
