Get well soon Lars, my friend. I was one of the very fortunate folks to have Kars tune my car, in NOVA back in '05. You are one of the folks that share your knowledge in a fun and friendly way. I still have all your papers. I have missed your posts on this forum as have many others.
Lars, just wanted you to know how much I as well as others I am sure, value and appreciate all your insight and unselfish contribution to this hobby. I have just completed my first read, I will be reading it again, of your Q-jet problems, diagnosis and repair paper. You certainly have a unique gift with clarity of a topic that baffles most. I thank you for that. I personally want to point out the fact that you help more than you realize. I search and read all the work you put out there. I am sure other that you don't know are like me and fly under the radar. Thank you again and I wish and pray for a speedy recovery for you.

I believe this thread is an evil ploy by Ralph, Jim Shea, and all my other friends to suck me back into the CorvetteForum… Jim e-mailed me to inform me that there were “a few people” wishing me well over here, but I obviously had no idea of the magnitude of support being shown. I’ve read every one of your posts, and I’m humbled by your concern, well wishes, and support. I can’t thank you all enough. I also appreciate all the personal e-mails I’ve received from many of you – it’s quite a morale booster. Although the moderators of this Forum may have issues with fairness and proper social conduct, the enthusiasm shown by the core group posting here is truly impressive, and I thank you all sincerely.
As Ralph noted, I’ve been having a difficult and frustrating time with some severe neck and spine issues, leaving me with limited use of my left hand and arm. Having had surgery for this problem once before, I’ve been reluctant to pull the trigger on yet another “alteration” without first trying every other available option. It appears I’m heading for the operating room in about a week, however.
In the meantime, I’m always available for technical support to anyone needing assistance: My papers are updated frequently to include new information, so make sure you contact me for current versions of any papers you may have in your libraries.
Thank you again to all of you for your kind words – you exemplify the spirit of this hobby.

Lars,
First of all, nice to see your post once again on the Corvette Forum.
Best of luck with the surgery. A key to successful surgery is to follow the doctors' advice on the recovery process. Resist the temptation to use the arm too soon.
Feel free to contact me for tips on doing stuff one-handed. I had a little "alteration" to my left arm almost 50 years ago but have learned to work around it. It would be a tiny token of appreciation for all the tips you've provided to me and the rest of the Corvette community.
I've had the honour of meeting lars in Toronto Canada several years back and thank him for the tech lesson he gave us as well as the carb vacuum leak diagnostics.

Lars, it's good to see a post by you again. I remember your first surgery and you telling about tying a rag around your arm and body so you could finish the last carb before you had the surgery. Your willingness to help and the depth of your knowledge are certainly approaching legendary status. Every time I light off my tuned by Lars Q-Jet I salute you.
Here's to your speedy recovery and return to the hobby you have given so much to.
