ok, well, If your kinda getting tired of working on it and are ready to get it all put back together. Then just leave that in there, that's what I would do. No, you don't have overdrive, but unless your gonna drive it a bunch on the highway, no big deal.

Really not tired since winter just started and I have been thinking what in the heck will I do when I am done! Hahaha
I am just really nervous about attempting it and not real sure what it will really cost to convert. If there was a book like Vizards on this swap, it would be no problem. Hahaha

Paint? Dark Blue? I personally am a big silver/aluminum fan. You never notice dust on a silver car, it'll drive you nuts when you go darker... i had a black car for a few months and had to get rid of it, couldn't stand the fact it was always dirty.

brown does look good with blue, but it should be a lighter brown - or maybe even a distressed/saddle brown

you're welcome

I know you are really a designer in the real world! Hahaha. I am thinking about a seat upgrade at some point to like a C4 style. I could have them done in a distressed leather.
I certainly know how hard the blue will be to keep clean. A B$@$&!!!!! Hahaha!

I noticed you haven't done it yet so don't forget to put a white line on your damper or you will have a tough time getting the timing right. Just one of those things that are easily overlooked.

Now that your ready to put the engine back in I have to tell you about your next headache.
I hope you took pics or kept the bolts and brackets together for the power steering and AC. If you have it all thrown in a box you're gonna have a long day because some brackets have spacers, special bolts and brackets can be flipped around. The best exploded view I've seen was done by Dr.Rebuild but you will need to order his catalog . His web site isn't much to look at. Forum members with the same year can help with close up pics because its impossible to describe how to assemble

The Ac is not in the vehicle. When I pulled thing I actually kept the bolts with most of them just hanging in the holes.i am not sure if I took a picture of the PS pump before I pulled it off. I will check.

airbornesally has a good ring to it.... now you know why I avoid Texas - too flipping hot. Didn't they used to have a football team?

Man I frustraited! I got the new pushrods today and started installing them. Problem! When I try to adjust the valves, the rocker doesn't seem to get tight enough. What I mean is I adjust until no lash and then half a turn. The rocker at that point is not tight. I can still move it easily by hand. Does this make sense and can anyone shed some light for me? Remember I am talking about the rocker not the pushrod.

When I have taken the lash out and turn another 1/2, I can still wiggle the rocker when I grip it like this. Not on the direction of pushrod and valve stem but side to side. Hope that helps. I was thinking that rocked should be solid when the valve is adjusted.

I'm about as far away from and expert as you can get but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night=====just throwing this out there, is there any chance the lifter is collapsing? I know there was some talk about soaking them before installation but I don't think you did?? I seem to remember reading somewhere that they have to be filled with oil before adjusting them so this wouldn't happen. again, just throwing this out there.
