Hahaha! True story! I looked at AC Delco NOS shocks on eBay for kicks! All shocks $35-$75, Corvette rear ACDelco rear shocks. $600-$1200. Hahaha you can't make this stuff up.
Alan I looked at Paragon and didn't see any but maybe there is more than one Paragon site.

Unfortunately GM long ago discontinued the Delco shocks that most closely resemble the originals. The new ones are made in Mexico. I have been looking for the older correct GM shocks for 6 years! They are called AC Delco "Reactec." Love to find a set or two.
I ended up getting Monroe shocks which again are not correct, but painted gray the resemble the originals and cost less than the Delco shocks. They will be for judging only. Although the ride was acceptable.
I also bought a set of Bilstein HD shocks used for one of the deals of the century, which I will use for driving. Cannot wait to try the Bilsteins.
BTW: Use Ford Dove Gray Engine paint to match the gray the shocks were originally painted. Had one long time NCRS guy look at the Monroe shocks I painted and he was duly impressed with the color.
Machinist are able to "part off" (precision remove) one end of the original worn-out shock in the correct area so that it can be rebuilt/welded together/remachined so the shock is usable and that the weld is not visible once the shock is painted.
We used that procedure all the time to rebuild 3,000 PSI hydraulic cylinders on industrial equipment.
Approximately 2 hours or less in labor charges plus cost of parts for EACH shock.

That would be awesome by the shocks on my car aren't original. I will probably put them back on until I can afford to buy some originals for judging.

I guess I should not have scrapped the org's. They were still good and likely were the original shocks. I would not have thought they were worth anything except the metal weight.

I have a bunch of stuff that I still have, from seats to ac unit with all the duct workings. Once done I will clean everything up and put it all in the for sale area.

That idea was for OEM shocks to save the shocks and save some $$$$$$ also! Being a machinist was a lot of fun----"after normal working hours

Good idea and I am looking for some used originals! Right now with my job situation, I am more than ever trying to save every penny I can to keep moving forward. I wii keep the shocks I have and clean them up for now since those are an easy replacement part at a later date.
After checking out Juliet's Corvette I decided to paint some parts that I know I will get points knocked off for but it's ok, I won't have parts needing rust prevention all the time.
Tonight events!
I may dull this down with some flat clear but not sure yet.
Enjoy! I sure am...
