Very nice work.
I need to start following this thread as I am getting ready to start pulling parts together for my differential behind my 496.

Great David that you put it out there. Sounds like this will be a great mod.

My Mike Dyer built Dana 44 for my 81 Vette. Getting close to using the u-joint caps built by David too!

David’s parts are top notch! I will be testing them soon! And Mike Dyer’s work is top notch as well. Between the two of them you absolutely cannot go wrong. More to come from both of them!

I agree!!! I had the pleasure of actually getting to meet Mike when I went to visit my family in Oklahoma. My brother and I drove down to Garland to pick up the rear end from Mike. We had an absolute blast meeting Mike and some of his Vette friends. I haven't got to meet David yet but hope to one day. They have both been incredible to work with and I can't thank them both enough for their help.

Great pics! Mike did my HD 10 bolt and modified my Ridetech trailing arms to work with the 1480 axles. Also rebuilt my front spindles and steering box and rear bearing assemblies. I have David’s caps in my diff and his yoke caps on my tranny yoke. Also have his prototype spreader bar and will install his differential supports after he tests them out. I met Mike when I picked all my stuff up in TX. Haven’t met David yet but have spoken to him. Both great guys for sure.

I remember Mike talking about your trailing arms. It is nice to find someone like Mike and David who want to take things to the next level or two and then share their knowledge and skills with others. I did speak with David the other day and as I get the rear of my car back together, will be giving him feedback on the prototype u-joint caps for the Dana 44 he made. The first time I talked to both of them, it seems as if I had know them for years. Agreed, both are great guys for sure.

Mike is currently building my HD 10 bolt.
He is doing and setting up everything from the back end of the drive shaft through to the lug nuts including my Van Steel offset trailing arms.
Mike is educating me about how each part in the differential works together and how all the components work together.
He is a great guy to talk to and work with.
He already asked me about the front spindles and I’m sure they will be going out to him in the future.
I’ll just put retirement off a little longer. Lol...

Thank you for the kind words Bill and Mike. It was my pleasure to help where I could.
You both have extensive builds going on and I look forward to seeing some more pictures.
We'll talk soon,
Dave

Just received feedback from Mike on half shaft caps with no real surprises.
Thank you Mike!
I am attaching pictures of diff brace fully loaded on my car.
Time to do some real world testing.

I haven't seen this before. Can you please explain the purpose of this differential brace? Mechanically, what does it do?
Thanks,
John
