I'm going to be honest, I messed with the acceleration enrichment. So it was going lean when you nailed it then the fueling was catching up causing the burbling... added basically a larger pump shot back (what was in it but should be way too much fuel) and all is good.

I gotta get this thing to a track, may take a quick little video of a quick rip later if I feel alright. Vertigo started acting up.

Tossed the keys to my friend, he did a 160 mile trip on the highway back home and to me. I asked him how it was. He just nodded and said "how is every gear passing passing gear. And not the car to drive that hungover."

Since it's running pretty well I may reach out and have it dynoed now, using the same tables and such as it did prior so it's a more fair A/B just with the fueling corrected to what it wants. Then the difference is solely the intake characteristics.

Track is a little difficult with our current staffing issues but the dyno is on my way home.

So I had some time today for some very unscientific testing. But basically I pulled the best data log from the old intake and compared it to the data log from the current setup which isn't even it's best.
Data says:
13.7s vs 12.7s E.T.
96 vs 109 MPH trap

Now these are all calculated but my throttle tip in was about the same and looking at the data it's an impressive difference between the two from just simple data. Hopefully we get some guys at work and then I'll have a more normal schedule again.

what's strange is 0-60 and 1/8th is about the same. To me that indicates it isn't falling on its face higher in the RPM range. Which is good.

I reached out to the shop the other night, they said from the day I'm ready its about 1-2 weeks for dyno availability. All I have to do now is fix the oil leak and all will be well. Hoping by the end of next week I'll have some numbers.

Cool! I can't believe that they're that far out. It's weird that we have a plethora of dynos here, but no drag track anymore.

I mean it is and isn't that far out. They do a lot of inhouse dyno tuning hence the sporadic availability. Like i called monday and they told ke they could squeak me in friday afternoon. But its not fixed and im at work lol. Also, the reason it's like that... its one of the only import shops around. It's a nice facility

And yeah. We're down to 1 track I think. Maybe 2 still but no open test and tune during the week... only weekends and I don't want to deal with all the people.

Renegade continues to show its flaws... distributor base machining is off so it also leaks... I added a second gasket, checked pump engagement, measuring about .2000 inch with the second gasket so it should be okay. This is getting annoying.

Update: sustained 4k rpms yields no smoke show behind the car. Seems good to me.

Hey Paul
Did you mention recently that you up-ed your accelerator enrichment numbers. I’ve had a couple of times recently where I’ve mashed the throttle and it’s had a big cough. (Very embracing). Anyway I think my car may need a bigger pump shot because if you feed it throttle it’s fine. It only happen on a really fast delta if that makes sense. Anyway interested to know where you ended up with this.
I’m also thinking about reactivating my decel cutoff even though I kind of like the obnoxious burble, crackle and pop it has now.

Greg, I get an occasional buck or cough when i get back in it on a gear change sometimes. Otherwise it feels pretty stout... if you'd like i can email you my bin so you can take a look at my current numbers? They are roughly the same as the stock calibration Tom came up with to preload onto the EBL he sells. It needs tweaking i just don't have the time to do all that fine tuning... I don't understand it enough. If it was a carb I'd probably just swap out the pump cam to fix it. Seems like it needs to hit just a little sooner on my shift.

Thanks Paul
that sounds like a plan. I’ll email you my current bin as well. I recently leaned it out down low and fattened it up up high. I did that because I noticed that the INT was maxed out and not really changing fuel delivery in closed loop. It seams to regulate properly now.

I'll send it your way in a bit. My tuning was done in open loop so it should be pretty close. I will let you know I have lean cruise (highway) on.
