my C5 is a shop queen right now - been disassembled for over 2 months
i use my C4 DAILY but i drive my truck to work.
the C5's eventual plan is definitely a weekend warrior!
Daily driver in the summer. If it's raining, I don't take it. If it rains when I'm out, so what. It's a car. It's on the road in the winter when the roads are clean and dry. That's last Thursday before the snow came, and now today on a beautiful cold day after 3 days of rain. A few 30 to 70 foot to the floor runs and I have my 500 hp fix.

Anymore, mine is just a fair weather car - I might put 3000 miles a year on it. When I first got mine, it was a DD and I put about 16K miles on it in about a year and a half.
Daily driver with 22k on the clock. The climate in Nevada is kind to the Vert so I drive it as often as possible. Gets a daily gentle 20 mile trip to work and back but sits in the garage when I'm away.
This year the car goes back to England. The climate is dank and wet so it'll become a weekend warrior.
I work from home, so mine isn't *really* a daily driver. But when I drive, it's normally the vette (sometimes wifes car). Even with no commute, i've put about 27k on it in 23 months. I am a firm believer in USING the car. In 10 years it won't be worth much if it has 36k or 136k.
Not my daily driver - evening and weekend fair weather cruiser. We take it to Bloomington Gold and MA Funfest every year. FunFactor is very high with this car -
Mine is not a daily driver, although, if I could I would. I work in construction and drive a company owned F350 daully.
But I do drive it almost every weekend and on alot of road trips. It sure is nice to come home from a hard day at the office and see my nice clean vette sitting in the garage.
It's my toy I drive it in the rain, live in Wa. if I didn't it wouldn't be driven much. I run the car hard but I take very good care of it, I run drags, autocross and long trips. It's just and all around great car, I have a Honda for a DD I call it my parking lot car.
i'm summer time as much as I can, If i know its going to rain I won't take it but i'm not afraid to get it wet. I love to drive it. I did slow down taking it to work this summer and drove the company car to save on gas money. But I won't do that again, i missed it.
here in the northeast where we get something called winter, our c5 is a dry roads, clear days driver---at this point, perhaps every 2 or so weeks. in the summer, we don't use it as a dd but have it out frequently. overall, our mileage is quite modest. nonetheless, we be loving the c5! bub
I'm 59 and we have a 99 arctic white coupe A4. When we bought it about 14 months ago (on ebay from a guy in FL), it had 30K miles. It now has 44,600. My goal is to put about 10K/year on it. Logged 9,500 in 2005. Being in PA we don't drive it too much Nov-Mar so that allows us to have more miles to use during the nice weather. (We DO drive it in the winter on weekends when the weather is good and there's no salt, snow, ice on the roads). We also take 5-6 road trips a year to the shore (Ocean Cit, MD), etc.
Our next door neighbor has an 87 coupe and only has about 30K on it. Needless to say his philosophy is different than ours. Theirs sits in the garage most of the time collecting dust.
I guess I should also mention I did not drive with the windows down for the first year and only took the top off once. I did not want to lose that smell.......unfortunately its mostly gone and I have spent two summers blasting the a/c instead of top off fun.
Holy crap. Are you serious about this? Wow.
Anyway... I've made my car a lot less convenient to drive by lowering it, putting a chin spoiler on it, and adding chrome/polished wheels. It's a pain to get it out of the driveway, and I have to be careful about how and where I drive it. I wash it almost as much as I drive it.
But, man, I love it. And to me, the look is worth the inconvenience. I drive it whenever it's nice out and I have some time to really enjoy it. And, as opposed to what some other people have said, I DO like to just stand there and admire it. What awesome cars these are!
