Hmm...you seem upset that folks in other Vettes don't wave. I would be too. But, the solution isn't doing exactly what you're upset about. The solution is continuing to wave and hopefully reviving the enthusiasm.
A group of us from the DFW area and some from Wichita Falls went on a cruise last Sunday and we got waves from people beside the road and even bikers. The wave is alive and well.
This is crazy! one time i waved at a Red Coupe C5 and sure enough a blonde lady waved back at me but her face all wrinkle up as if she were trying to wave and fart at the same time. I don't know the real reason behide her w/f expression but I sure and and still
First good top down weather in Northern Virginia on Saturday and got a good dozen waves from my fellow C5ers. I foolishly attempted to wave at a couple of C6ers and was duely ignored
well i'm a C5 newbie, just bought mine saturday. On the way home from SC a pewter C5 pulled up next to me and waved, i waved back. I know about the Harley wave so when he waved i figured you guys had one too so i waved back. I thought it was pretty cool, felt like i belonged!!
Dont jump ship, I'll wave! It was the same when I owned a Bike.. Most of the time it was like a big family and then you would get a string of cunfused looking people just tring to look cool. Dont be a cunfused looking person tring to look cool
I get on average 3 waves out of 5. Tough crowd sometimes!
And this is me initiating the wave. I've seen a few folks beat me to it, and I feel like I wasn't fast enough.

Don't give up! Eventually they will get the hint!
Some owners that are new to Corvettes are unaware of the wave, they just need educated!
SAVE THE WAVE!

I find the wave returned about 75% of the time. No problem, it still makes Vette ownership all that more interesting. In fact, I started a wave thing with other Mini Coopers in the area (when I am driving mine), at first I got a lot of strange looks, but now it is about 60% return!
I am going to give up the Corvette wave when I see other vettes.
When I give a wave I get the strangest looks like what the hell am I doing.
I haven't been a member long...so I'm going to ask a dumb question...is there a special "corvette wave" that I should be doing when I pass others? Or just wave to acknowledge them??

Use at least two fingers so there can be no misunderstanding... Other than that, no rules.
I always wave, most the time I don't even see if it's returned, but they get it anyway. I'll tell you what, nobody waves like the bikers, after a day of riding I'm almost tired of waving. There are alot more bikes on the road then vette's.
