if we all keep waving at the people that do not know the Vette wave,
maybe at some point they will realise they are missing something ,and then back !
it's not in the GM manual , so someone has to tell them !
Don't give up yet. It seems somedays you get a lot of waves others you get none. I wave anyway, makes me feel good even if I don't get a return wave. Here's one for ya
It like the first day of snow....when people forget how to drive...
The weather has just turned nice. It was probably the first weekend out for all those Corvette drivers... They were so excited and the permagrin clouded their cognitive capabilities.......
I already got a wave from a c4 and c5. Just give them some time..Some people get in a zone while driving and simply miss it.
Try again..

Had the top down yesterday just lookin' for other vette owners to wave to and didn't see one in my travels. But then again, the permagrin is still very big and my eyes may be too squinty.
this is part of Americana, the wave is a tradition with Corvette owners and it is the responsibility of every owner to help keep this noble gesture in pride of ownership of Americas sports car alive.
I wave to every Vette I pass. For those that don't wave back, I just tell myself that they must have waved before I was looking.
I must admit, I do get some strange looks when cruising around in my Ford Ranger (dd) and wave to a passing Vette. We almost need a wave that means 'My other car is a Vette!'.
I was out on Saturday for a drive and saw 2 C5's in the opposite lane coming toward me. I waved to both and guess what, NO WAVE. These C5's weren't together so I don't know what they were doing.
I drive a 2004 Z06 wearing Millennium Yellow so it doesn't hide well.
The wave is a Corvette signature, I will always wave....Even to a C6..
Remember that just because they don't wave back, that doesn't necessarily mean you were dissed. It's entirely possible that the other driver simply didn't see you. I'm sure this happens more than you realize.
I have noticed that mostly the guys do it. I'm a lady and most of the time the women don't wave. I don't care. How I learned about it was because I was on my way to North Bay and just happened to feel good about my new baby and waved and he did back. I got 3 others on my way. So here's a wave to all of you and come on to Northern California and I will wave at ya. Just check the blonde out in the black C5!

If they weren't concentrating on traffic, "the other guy" could just be zoning. Piloting my C5 puts me in that mood somtimes.
