I swear that looks just like my car except I would never pull that far forward into a parking space.

I picked up my 2004 C5 at lunch and brought it to my work place. Later, it rained like crazy. The roads were flooded and I had to drive home. My baby was christined under fire. If she could endure that day, a little more rain is no big deal.

I suppose you have to weighthe pros and cons of:

How clean you want to keep it
vs.
How much fun you will have driving it.

The car isn't rare or a 250k exotic, it's made to be driven!
I am fairly lucky because where I live it does not rain drop between May and October. But I do avoid if possible just to save the clean up time as I like it perfect.

I don't drive in the rain on purpose but sometimes I get caught out when it rains.

If the weather is crappy I won't take it out just to drive it. OTOH if we go on a trip I don't worry about it. Going to Bloomington Gold in a few weeks - rain or shine. It won't melt.

Nothing worse than a messy underneath. Driving in the rain ranks right up there with smoking and eating in your vette. Almost as bad as not having Lloyds mats.

Default no rain

I have 11,000 miles and I do not drive it in the rain ever, yet anyways, I think it's a matter of opinion, I wonder if my wipers even work, never turned them on..

I try not to drive in the rain, but the car has been caught a number of times in an unexpected downpour. Car will survive and you can always clean it back up.

If anybody disagrees that weather (rain/snow/salt) has a serious effect on the appearance and value of a vehicle, they are more than welcome to come take a look at my 97 Ford Escort.

I'm gonna preface this with..'To each his/her own'. If you never want to drive in the rain or cloudy day then more power to ya

However, I drive mine everyday. Whatever that days brings then it will be driven in it. I'm kinda lucky that I live in Atlanta so snow is highly unlikely, but it rains a lot here. I consider the fact that I payed 39k for my vette which is not a lot actually. I see other SUVs, BMWs, Mercedes, and etc cars which cost a LOT more than my car driven as everyday DD cars. So, I don't feel bad at all driving mine in the rain. Plus, a Corvette can take it with no problem.

Am I just being too ****? Is it a mess if underneath if it goes thru a rood rain while driving??
I'm totally with you on this one. I just got a 02 with 15,500 miles on it. She is so clean I want to keep her that way. If there are chances of showers I don't take her to work, I'll take my DD and let the rain wash it.

I guess some day when we are out and far from home it is going to rain but until and after then I'll avoid rain as much as possible.

I don't intentionally drive my C-5 in the rain. However it has been caught in several rainstorms and has survived all of them in good shape. Just give it a good wash and some TLC when you it get back home and everything will be all right.

Mine is a week end warrior so I usually drive it in good weather. But, if it starts raining while I'm out, no big deal just keep driving and enjoying.
