that kit looks good but i am trying to do this the cheap way. how about these. they draw 80ma. if i powered them off my fog lights do you think they will hurt anything? http://www.oznium.com/led-modules
I'm not sure if those are long enough to cover the cove area. YOu could order 1 ft. of these. You would have to solder wires where you cut the lengths but its not too hard. http://www.oznium.com/thin-waterproof-ribbon
These are even a better deal especially if you are doing red. The other colors are more but still not bad. http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...i?product=BARS
These you would only have to solder to one strip as they come with wires attached.Cut and solder to the other one unless you order 2.
Are you having fun yet?
9.5" red strips, one on each side. I built a foundation of 1/4" plexiglass just to elevate it so the lip of the vent doesn't block the light. these allow you to aim the light outwards better.
I'll try to post some pics, my gf has my camera right now though!

I've purchased both the items you linked from Oznium and the oval one is smaller than a half dollar (I'm using 2 of these to light up my license plate) and the linear one is aprox 2.5" long. (in my glove box) You might need a few of them so the cost would probably be the same or more and like they say, you'll have to solder/splice the modules together.
I'm searching for an amber match to my DRLs right now, then they're going to get tstars turn signal mod!!!!
...I know, I know, pictures when done!!

You're going to have to get a trailer to put all your relays in brudda...
thanks That sure is nice to hear. I've been watching and reading this thread, lots of great info. I just haven't had anything to post recently. I've been spending my time hooking up all of those LEDs to my security system...its pretty sweet already, and getting better I'm adding 3 more relays and 2 diodes this weekend.

Sounds very interesting!!! Hopefully well documented????

Hey Mike!
I just got a set of these in amber. I'd love to see pics of yours!
Ok what i am listing here from the 1st post is exactly what i need for that part right? Also the bulbs that were listed in quantity is right as well?
Please let me know if im right or wrong.. I want to changed everything inside the cabin to blue LEDs, except the engine bay light and rear trunk light. I want those super white. Here is the list. Please correct if wrong..
(Switches (Doors, Fog/Trunk, DIC and Traction/Selective Ride Control)
13* ea. – NEO WEDGE Type B bulbs, 10mm (3/8”) diameter $2.99 ea. http://autolumination.com/74.htm
*Note: If you are optioned with Selective ride control add one NEO Wedge
Dimmer/HUD
4* ea. - NEO WEDGE Type A, 8mm (5/16") diameter $2.99 ea. http://autolumination.com/74.htm
*Note: If you do not have HUD subtract THREE. These are the closest fit but the mounting hole will still need filed out just a tad. Some HUD switch packs supposedly have a total of THREE bulbs.
Footwells and Cargo Area
4 ea. – 194 Matrix Super Star bulbs,. 10mm diameter x 26mm overall $7.99 ea. http://autolumination.com/194.htm
Map Lights
Non Electrochromatic
2 ea. – 212 Festoon 2 LED bulbs, 10mm wide x 44mm overall length. $9.99 ea. http://autolumination.com/festoon.htm
Electrochromatic
12 ea. 5mm LEDs http://www.oznium.com/led
*Note: For 2000s check your Map lights to see if you have the LED array or Festoon bulbs, I believe there may have been a cross over early in 2000.
HVAC (Dual Climate) Controller (Leaving stock Orange LEDs in)
14 ea. - 5mm LED's with XXX* Ohm resistors, http://www.oznium.com/led
OR
14 ea – NEO WEDGE Type B bulbs, (removed from bases) 10mm (3/8”) diameter $2.99 ea. http://autolumination.com/74.htm
Under Hood
1 ea. – Super Star Festoon Dome Bulb: White. 10mm wide x 44mm overall $9.99 ea. http://autolumination.com/festoon.htm
UPDATE: The 1997s take a 212-2 Festoon and the 1998 - 2004s use a Type 561 rigid loop bulb. We think the 44mm should work fine in both. See Post #24 by ljthe2nd
**Note – 470 Ohm = Blue, White, Green, Aqua & Pink
560 Ohm – Red, Orange & Yellow)
The list looks complete as far as I can tell. Oznium now sells them for $2.49 ea. http://www.oznium.com/corvette-c5-led
Also autolumination has these 30% brighter neo wedges for $3.49 ea. I would be curious to see if these are actually much brighter. http://autolumination.com/74.htm
All the tips and tricks are on the forum if you plan to do it right.
Always buy some extra LEDs and post some pics when you get done!
