....yea....that's a no. I haven't had stock stuff since many moons ago. I can weigh the new kit and if someone wants to weigh their stock lights, that would be most helpful.

Are these Stealth Light Cannons supposed to be an upgrade to the DEPO headlights?

No, they are an entirely new light system with superior optics, areodynamics and lens strength.

Wow! Can't wait to see the final shroud RF. I think this will end up as a big win.

Did you get some "final" adjusted pictures with the other setup?

It's freakin' awesome to have someone like you pushing the edge for aftermarket upgrades and with such attention to detail and quality. CF is lucky to have vendors like this!

thank you. I firmly believe if all the components are awesome, the end result will be freaking awesome!

that seems a little light, but weight savings is probably the last thing people are thinking about with these lights....just an added perk.

thanks.

Shroud upate: I got the final shrouds in today. (didn't have time to cut them though)

All pics taken with flash to show reflection qualities.

Here's the original shroud

And the new one:

And the side by side:

The new shroud is MUCH smoother and the remaining optical distortions are caused by the curve of the shroud rather than bumps and dips in the shroud itself. With the lens attached, these will be virtually invisible since the lens causes its own reflection.

Only a few more days until the stainless projector shrouds come in and final pics.

the base kit is $1275.

I will be offering some "scratch and dent" kits that use the original "bumpy" shrouds for those who are on a tight budget

I have two questions,
What are you going to do with the accumulated heat
And most importantly, this is obviously not a sealed unit, so what are you going to do with all the condensation that will form on the clear cover when the cover starts to sweat... moisture will easily creep in from the unsealed unit. This is why all OEM light units are fully sealed and the bulbs are in sealed sockets to prevent any sweating. Did you ever see moisture form on the inside of a lens when the unit has even a slight crack, or the socket gasket leaks.

Concerns are a good thing. It ensures a quality product emerges.

The heat from the lights themselves is a non-factor when compareed to average underhood temperatues. Thee fact that the lights are NOT sealed helps a great deal. There are small vent holes in the bottom panels that will pull cold air in towards the lights themselves. The open nature of the housing allows the air to move around. This also allows condensation/sweat to move away.

I've beeen driving with the prototype on my car for about a week now in a myraid of temperatures, times of day and even a torrential downpour. I have yet to see ANY moisture on the lens including the early morning. The projectors themselves are seealed and therefore aren't subject to humitidy and such. The only problem experienced was the previously mentioned sunlight delima that has been addresed.

I have done thousands of F.M.E.A 's in my automotive Career ( Failure modes effect analysis ) also the difference between ABS and Polycarbonate is extreme... Concerns for UV stable materials are very important to an external automotive application.
