Absolutely Awesome. If the covers maintain the body contour and the final product looks as good as I hope, count me in for a set if 4300's.

I'm sure you have covered this but I haven't watched the entire thread, but do you have an idea of the final cost for a set?

Lol, yep been covered a few times, the base kit is $1275. That would be the complete setup with your choice of HID's. Then you can add a few extras, such as Halo's or DRL's for an additional cost

George posted pricing and options a while back, but maybe it's time to add it to the first post.

Good news. The proceess of frosting the projector lenses was originally goind to bee done by hand sanding () then by media blasting (also ) But after talking to a glass specialist, i found a very easy, inexpensive and consistant way to frost the lenses.

There is a commercially avaliable acid cream specifically designed to "frost" glass upon contact. The cream washes off with water and has no effect on the plastic parts of the projector. I frosted 2 complete sets of projectors today at teh shop before my hands started getting frosted themselves (from the cold, not the acid )

Solar-simulation tests revealed the frosting is perfect for distorting the sun's image and preventing the focal point from forming while still allowing zero distortion in the low beam pattern and minimal distortion of the high beam pattern.

The first production run kit will be completed and mounted tomorrow. Assuming my replacement camara arrives on scnedule, there will be pictures of the kit itself, the installation, mounted shots as well as output shots and most lkely a road video (weather permitting)

The GP spot-saver kits will be shipped out by the end of this week for sure. The installation instrucitons may be a bit unrefined, but the most difficult part is the removal of the old headlight structure. The installation of the kit itself only requires 6 nuts, 2 screws 2 bolts per side, and light adjustment of the projectors. The projectors will come bolted to the frames and the lens and shroud will come assembled as one piece as well.

The next update will bee a link to the GP thread with all the pics you've been craving.

Thank you for your patience.

The shipment of my camera has been delayed until tomorrow, so unfortionatly, i won't have mounted /output pics this evening like i'd planned.

I have decided to incorperate a foam weatherseal around the edges of the shroud to the lens. While initial testing showed no fogging or water intrusion under normal driving conditions, power washing did managed to get miosture under the lens of the prototype. The foam seal will prevent this from happening.

I will update tonight with pics of what the kit will look like un-mounted.
