Glad you posted this set of pics. I had been looking for a nice solution and this is it! Most of the others take up too much passenger side leg room or have you reaching back between the seats. Just order the black double one from the site you mentioned. $40 delivered! Wife will love it. Thank you.
I saw on another thread that there is another udder hose on passenger side. It is longer and crocked, i could see it but to tight to remove an clean, fyi
I'm gonna have to find that thing. Let me know if you figure out how to get to it
New stereo system. Clarion head unit, Infinity 6.5 coax in doors and rear and Infinity 10" sub. I'm waiting on the stealth box. Dave (Daddyrama31) was generous enough to come over and help me. His knowledge got me through this. We got it up and running and then Dave had to go and I took a much needed nap. Woke up for round 2. It was clean up and reassembly. Everything works great. Thanks so much Dave!
Very cool, it's awesome when people step up and help others out, the Corvette community is awesome the sub is going to make huge difference once it's installed as well
I almost spent $139 on one of those top storage racks available on the web until I found this thread. They say imitation is the best form of flattery so......Thanks for posting this storage idea. Works PERFECTLY!!! I will cover it with a sheet to protect if from dust and any possible scratches!!

Looks awesome!!! Sounds good too! It will sound eve better with the sub hooked up.
We are mistaken, i saw a previous post by mr bill and there is another one behind the utter closest to finder. Cant see it but can feel it, easy to get off not as easy to replace due to it being so far back under cowl but i got it done. Need to have along skinny arm.
Yea, just behind the utter on the outside nearest the fender. Reach your hand/arm under the utter u can see and u will feel it. Easy to pull off but a little hard to get back on due to it being so far back under cowl.
Narco I have a question about the new wheels you put on. I am looking at a set of chrome 2008 z51 wheels, 18 front and 19 back. As you know our C5 came with 17 and 18's. will the 08 18/19 fit my ride and what size tires did you use. I saw where you had to order and install a spacer or adaptor, was that for front or back or both. Where did you get them and cost if you don't mind. The wheels I am looking at are on CL for 650.00, made an offer less than that but no reply as of yet, are they worth 650, they look new still in the box. By the way did you get that third utter cleaned. I sprayed water down the cowl today and if water runs out you probably don't need to worry about removing it. Run water down cowl and message the one that is hard to get to and if it flows leave it. U can reach it to message but putting it back is a little harder. Thanks man
So I reached back blindly and did the third udder. I actually replaced it also with hardly any problem. Caution: to anyone that might read this and do this be careful not to pull the small plastic line from your windshield washer reservoir. After I was done I noticed a giant puddle on the floor of the garage. I could feel the small rubber hose that I needed to stick this plastic tube into but I could not get it. I had to remove the tank and plug it back up underneath. It's not hard at all to do but was kind of a pain, especially mopping up my garage.
Did the anti venom mod. You need a 15/16 socket. I have a stock shifter that has been shortened about 1.5". I got the washers from Napa. Part #704-1357. They're actually copper gaskets. Bought 3 and that gives you 1/8". Slide far enough under perpendicular to the transmission from driver side that you can put your head past the passenger side exhaust. This gives you enough of an angle that you can see the detent plug. From what I have read it requires 30 foot pounds of torque to tighten it down. Mine had way more than that because it was incredibly hard to break loose. It was crusty and dirty. I cleaned it with a wire brush and put one wrap of thread tape around it and reinstalled. Very easy. I suggest using an extendable length ratchet and multi angle socket extension. Got busted knuckles breaking it loose but overall very easy and cheap mod. I took it for a quick test drive and it is noticeably easier to shift into gears but I still have a little positive click which is a good thing. I'm still on the fence about this. I will probably drive it for a while and see how I like it and worst case I might take one of the washers off.
While waiting for my exhaust to cool I decided to clean my exhaust tips. Read another thread about using flat top stove cleaner. Worked like a charm with a micro fiber rag.
You only need adapters for the rear. If not it might rub and will have a sunk in look. I bought mine off of eBay and for both adapters I believe it was $50. Cut the last quarter inch of the stud off with a Dremel and slide them on and you're good to go. I will post pictures of the size of my tires so you can use as a reference if you like.
