nice car! Very similar to my build. Looks like you got your diffuser to fit better than the bodyshop I paid to install mine and mine was allegedly the fixed one? Good job on the build!

GREAT thread - thank you, and best wishes and prayers for your family. I am a first time Corvette owner (1998 C5) and am putting my project build together. Lots of great info here, I read the entire thing. In your specs, could you list the tire size for newbies like me? Love the setup on yours, and I have some ideas about what size you have.

Thanks man. fronts are 265's and rears are 305's. Nitto invo's. I have to look at the profile. i think the fronts are 40's and rear are 35s? i'd have to look again to be sure. it's been a while.
I am pretty sure those JBLs are the same I did in mine. I did the 6.5 component sets up front with tweeters in dash pad corners and 6.5 2 ways in the rear locations running on a 300 watt 4 channel amp.

i really just wanted to keep the factory system. I'm fine with changing stuff out. I dunno... I just didn't want to get crazy with this one. the mustang i sold to buy this had all components and subs and 2 amps etc...
I like mine so far. I already had a DD Kenwood so adding the small amp and those speakers and a small powered 8” didnt take up any room and sounds way better.
Have fun!! Get ya some 5 gal buckets with lids, one of the big aluminum drip pans from AutoZone and some oil dry. Lots of blue throw away shop towels, sandwich baggies, painters tape, and sharpies!

That's how most people would do it... I however... am not most people lol!
no seriously though... I always say i'm going to do that and then end up with a box of bolts that i'm digging through looking for the right one.
I haven't abandoned the vette project. it just took a bit of a back seat for a couple months while i built this car. This one goes in for paint in 2 weeks. And my Vette is in world of wheels next weekend. Once the show is over, and this is out of the garage. The c5 is coming home and getting torn apart...
Well, that car looks like total fun. World Of Wheels, man I haven't heard those words for quite some time. They quit having that show down here a long time ago. I use to love going to that one.

I had no desire to even enter it into the show but my buddy that did the ceramic coating asked me to...
