Both my daughters (2.5 and 6 months) had the flu the week prior everything shutting down. I had 2 days back at work prior to working front home.
I have seen Frozen and Frozen 2 at least 30 times each now. I might be losing my mind.
In January Penelope and I had a really bad respiratory virus. I lost 7 days of work and it took me over a month to recove . And a cough that lingered longer. Makes you wonder
The biggest challenge in this whole thing right now is getting groceries delivered. Constant instacart orders. Amazon is worthless for this stuff now. Target delivery has been ok.
We bring everything into the garage. Stuff comes out of bags into "dirty" bins. From there it either gets quarantined or cold and frozen foods get sanitized and put into the downstairs fridge for a few day quarantine.
I feel like a crazy person doing it But I have to ya know.
ls2 chain and melling oil pump installed, summit harmonic balancer installed and pinned. Used BTR spring compressor and valve seal tool to install dual valve springs with titanium retainers as well as new valve seals.
Painted the valve covers and added some billet coil brackets. I need to shine them up a bit.
next step is to install the linked lifters and heads and measure to make sure my pushrods are the correct length. This will be a first for me so i'm going to take my time. The weather was beautiful the last few days so i did some work around the house instead of working on the vette. hoping to have this stuff wrapped up and installed this weekend and be close to first fire.
It basically is suppose to improve the stripping of the oil from the crankcase vapor like a catch can does but it's all internal to the engine. It also eliminates the PCV valve itself. Some people still run a catch can though if so desired.
It really cleans up the top of the engine eliminating a bunch of the factory PCV corvette plumbing.
And the nice thing is if you bought one now and did your new engine later you can just move it to that one as long as its not a DOD block.
It certainly is not mandatory but it popped into my had as I had done it recently and when I saw the picture of your short block the valley cover sticks out like a sore thumb lol.

I mean... i'm here so i might as well right?
I'll look into what plumbing and stuff i'd need to make that work. Thanks man.
Taking my clutch measurements for my monster twin disc.
Monster wants me between .0625 and .2000
with the smallest shim the tick kit came with im at .1770. Im pretty sure of that measurement since I've done it 10 times lol.
With the next step up (medium shim) I'm at .0940"
So do I want to be on the tight side or the loose side of spec where I am now.
Both get me within spec.
The pilot bearing fought me. Once i desroyed and yanked the cage and needles out of it i was able to find purchase on the inside of that lip. Problem was that was too far out to pull it all the way out. Needed some 2x4 assistance i think it took me longer to put this on than any clutch ive ever done. I was so careful lol. This is a lot pricier than the 200 dollar jobs i slam in my miatas haha bellhousing on and ready for measurements
You did change your rear main whike in there right? And put sealer in the crank pulley keyways since your have none? And the LS6 valley cover is what was referred to about and other than having to cut the block its not bad. Easier to hook up the catch can now.

Man I'm glad you mentioned the keyway... im going to need to seal that. The crank bolt isn't torqued down yet. I was waiting till I got the flywheel on. So I could use the locking tool I have.
I'll have to plug that up before I put the arp bolt in.
