Default Good seats for a C5 ?

The interior in these cars isn't much, what is the best options to give it some good well made seats ?

Thanks for giving advice....

You know for the price the C6 makes much more sense considering what you get but I just like the look of a 5 and can't seem to move on.......

If you fit, the corbeau a4s are a popular option and are much more supportive than the stock seats. I really like them over stock.

I am like 6 foot 4 and 300 pounds and the stock seats were not designed for a cow at all..... How expensive are a good set on average ?

I think I would break the stock seats down fast ? maybe I should go on diet ?

To be honest, you may have a tough time finding seats that will be comfortable considering your size. Good luck, I hope you can find something that works well for you.

Given your height, Definitely look into the Marrad Ultra low seat mount bracket. They only work on the Drivers side. They will give you the most head room.

It's REALLY hard to find actual seats out at retailers to actually sit in. I travel the Midwest for Business so I worked VERY hard at finding seats I could actually sit in and it's slim Pick'ens out there. You may want to order some seats to try from Carid. They have a great return policy. I ordered some seats, tried them out and ended up returning them, no issues. Braum S8's fit, I had them installed and sat in them. I decided to go with a fixed back seat.

Any seat you choose you will need to perform the C6 seat belt swap. The C5 has a lower seat belt retractor coil and gets in the way of most replacement seats. The C6 seat belt only has an upper retractor.

Another option is to replace the foam in your existing seats. Given how complicated it is to get a lwide after market seat in this space, I'd seriously consider it. You can get new covers too if those are shot. I put in Fixed back seats for the track. If I was going for a "general" Replacement seat, I'd NEVER go through all the crap needed to get an after market seat into a C5. I'd just upgrade what you have to make it the best possible and live with it.

HERE are some other suggestions for big guys from the forum

Good Luck with your efforts!

Thanks for all the help, I am already looking.... I can live with the stock seats as long as I do not drive over a hour or 2.....

I find the vette sport seats great, but understand your problem. You can only fit so much seat in the room given.

No telling how the stock seat will fair. HERE is a Seat repair kit that addresses some of the design weakness. New cushions HERE. between the 2 its a hundred bucks. See how much it improves and how long it lasts. Seems like a low cost first attempt to get comfortable.

They just had a Maroon 2003 Vert sell on Ebay for 12,100 with 60 thousand miles. A good portion of these Vettes seem like there in FL.....

I did not realize the sport seats were the stock seats, now I know why the newer model Vettes have much updated interior because they needed it bad......
