Are you holding your mouth just right while your trying?

Seriously, I don't recall if you need loosen the A/C compressor or not. Maybe trying to get the engine a little higher might do the trick too. Also, maybe the coil pack assembly and valve cover being off might help. HTH

When you jack it up can you pry it over a tad with your 2x4. Put the 2x4 edgewise into the engine bay. Pry against the side of thepassenger side cylinder head and the engine bay and push the engine over a tad. Do this with the header in as far as you can get it.

What you want to do is point the collector of the header somewhat vertical like in the photos here. Then rotate it "clockwise" into position . In order to do this you will have to pry the engine over to the left a bit. The pics show the 2X4 on the driver's side, but it can be used on the passenger side too

Push over on the engine and down on the header front of the header attempting to rotate it into place. It will be tight but it will go. I wouldn't fool with the airconditioner stuff at all.

tried that its not working...the 2x4 did the trick for the driver side but it doesn't seem to want to work for the passenger side had to lock up at work and come home...time was up any tips i could use for tomorrow would be EXTREMELY HELPFUL...it seems to be hitting the oil pan/air condition hoses...or the header goes inside the loop of the a/c hose and doesn't let it go...tried the 2x4 for the passenger side that won't work?? it looks like its almost in but it won't go in...it doesn't turn.....i tried forcing it aswell won't work anything???

Well let me ask you this. Do you have both motor mount bolts loosened from underneath down to the very last threads? Are you push prying or pull prying? You should be pushing the 2x4 against the head and towards the left. Did you take the spark plugs out. I didn't take them all out but I recall taking one on that side out.

Also, you might actually have the engine up too high. Try letting it back down. Then point the header in and force it as far as it will go without the engine jacked.

Then take the jack up one pump then pry with the 2x4 and then tap the header down with a rubber mallet or the heel of your hand, or you can grab the primaries and put your weight on them and push down until it wedges again.

THEN another pump, another good pry and another beat down/push down on the header using somethng which won't bend the tubes.

Do this incrementally. As you beat/push down on the header, again rotate the collecter incrementally near where it's final position will be.

Eventually what will happen is that one of the primaries is going to be against the wall of the engine bay. The header will be "lodged" between the cylinder head and the wall of the engine bay. A good pry and a little rotation will do it.

So you are jacking, one pump. Or even a half pump if you have to. Your buddy should be on the 2x4 or you can use your shoulder after the pump. Then you take what you can get with the push down/ rotate movement. After you get all you can get with that one pump, go with another one and repeat the steps.

No, no no, you don't want to do that. Thats probably part of your problem. In fact that is your problem.

All you need to do is loosen both motor mount bolts from underneath.

Take a look at the pics in the guy's post from Z06 Vette. The thread titled: " I've decided! Gonna try and install the KOOKS! Don't you guys go offline." by Don 527. Now his car is a Z06, so you know its a manual. He didn't have to remove the clutch inspection cover.

Put the motor mount back on. You only need to loosen the motormount bolts from underneath the car. Then you want to put a block of wood on the oil pan and jack against the oil pan using the wooden block to protect it..
