Thanks for great support! Will send mine in by Monday using UPS Express - hope that will work fast as I live in Sweden.
Robert
Sent my EBCM (Corvette 2001 Z06) to Brandon Tuesday last week using UPS Express - got it return this morning - took me 30 minutes to put it back into my Corvette - AND yes it works - no Service ABS/Tacktion system and no alarms on the display - just like normal.
Brandon - www.absfixer.com - this is a great service. As I live in Sweden I also got great support with Commercial Invoice to avoid any extra customs fees.

I have this problem, c1214 code. Awhile back their was a site that told you how to remove and replace the ecbm. If you have a copy of this procedure, please send it to me at kbenes@optonline.net. Many thanks
Do not trust that the problem is isolated to the EBCM. If the BPMV pump motor shorts it takes out the EBCM relay. You need to check the pump motor to see if it is shorted. If it is you need to replace both modules. Dealer tech just replaced both of my modules this week. I asked him why and this is what he told me.
If you are checking grounds the EBCM ground is G108 and the pump motor ground is G103. 108 is near the battery and 103 is near 101.

Ken...just emailed the entire file that has all the "checks" that Dearborn refers to, including "how to" & "where to" replace the EBCM... if it is your problem. Bill T
The dreaded c1214 showed up on my vehicle two days ago. I would appreciate the info on how to change the EBCM as well.
Thanks,
Chris
Chris.... The procedure for replacing the EBCM is very simple. The only special tool you need is a T-20 torx screw driver. A flathead screwdriver may also be needed to pry apart the EBCM from the BPMV
1 - make sure the car is off.
2 - you will probably need to remove the airbridge to get to the EBCM.
3 - remove the wire harness by first removing the white plastic clip that locks it in place (I cut it off and replaced it with a zip-tie), then lift gray handle and pull back on the wire harness. At this point, you will be able to see the second wire connection that is removed by pulling down.
4 - The service manual call for you the remove the 2 insulator nuts that hold the BPMV to the brackets and lift the EBCM/BPMV out of the bracket. I do not think this step is necessary because there is plenty of room while it is still in the bracket and you do not gain much additional clearance since the brake lines restrict the movement.
5 - Remove the 6 T-20 torx screws connecting the EBCM and BPMV - 1 on each corner and 2 on the sides.
6 - Separate the EBCM from the BPMV by gently pulling apart until separated" In this case, I had to use a flathead screw driver to brake the seal. Once it moved a little, the rest was easy. In addition to the rubber seal, each of the 12 holes have a peg in them from the BPMV. Don't go crazy, but be prepared to force them apart.
7 - At this point, all you've got to do is put it all back together. push the new or repaired EBCM onto the BPMV.
8 - Replace the 6 T-20 torx screws
9 - reconnect the wire harness
10 - put the intake back on
An alternative to buying a new one is to have your original rebuilt.
For EBCM repair/replace
patiently waiting for my EBCM to come back from Brandon. He got it on Friday, it was repaired over the weekend. I didn't pay for overnight shipping so hopefully it comes today.

Bill, got a couple questions. First are G108 and G103 the ground points that are on the top of the frame rail that are close to the firewall. The one near the battery box and the one on the driverside near the same position. Secondly how do you determine if the pump motor is shorted? I've cleaned the 101, 102, 103, & 108 as you have identified and I am still getting the same DTC code C1214. I cleaned the 101 & 102 a few weeks back and the code disappeared until Sunday. Now I am at a lose to correct the problem. I've read this thread pretty thoroughly and am about to believe that I need to have the EBCM sent to absfixer. I wanted to touch base with you on this pump short problem before I get into it to far. If you have info on how I can check the pump I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Hoby
Do what tstar says in item 1. This is your best option. Code C1214 is your EBCM. I also have the whole procedure with photos on this problem and have sent it to many others with the same problem. I replaced mine ($650.00!!) before we knew about Brandon at absfixer.com....just let me know I can also help...
Yesterday, I was blessed with the C-1214. Would you be so kind to send me the information you hace sent to others. This is not something I want to take lightly, since I have greatly increased my HP.
I had "Service ABS" and "Service Active Handling" lights come on a few days ago. Dealer diagnosed Code C1214 - they stated "EBTCM relay was shorting." They replaced EBTCM.
got me too..I have the item unscrewed and about to pull it apart but how can I check to see if the BPMV is not screw either...thanks oh and abs fixer you will have a part on the way...
I got a chance to take some more EBTCM pictures to show you what the inside looks like.
When you separate the EBTCM form the BPMV for the first time it will be literally GLUED together. Its a real PITA to break the bond. I used a screwdriver to pry the two apart a little and used a razor blade to slice the bonding agent.
Here is a pic of the module EBTCM and BPMV together:
The SIX screws that secure the EBTCM to the BPMV are #20 Torx screws. Three on this side and three on the other. The screws on the front plate secure the module inside the housing. DO NOT remove those.
Here is the inside of the BPMV where it interfaces to the EBTCM. The small post that protrude are the poppet valves that are actuated by the electromagnetic coils on the EBTCM.
Hope this provides you some insight to how all this stuff works.
