Installing Fast 90..Need help
Power junky i'm doing a fast 90 install soon and before i put it on i'm cleaning it up.I pulled it apart an found the gasket was marginal at best,I was told that fast makes replacements so i sent them a e-mail yesterday and i'm waiting to here back from them, might be something you would want to do.

As far as I know, The only gaskets are for the intake ports, but I finally got my intake on, car runs smooth, only problem is that damn harness, cant wait to get the other one on!
Ill post up vids later

Update.
Happily found out My intake seal was not good enough ( the thought was in the back of my mind as a last probability)
So I spent today taking it back apart and cleaning it again.
I bought this really good gasket sealer my dad uses at his shop called "The Right Stuff". Only downside is he said that with this stuff he doubts I'll be able to take the intake back apart.
Something FAST should do?
Make a seal kit for their inside of the intake just like they did for the ports.
Anyway, sealing up tomorrow and then the test run. I think after this Im going to pull the intake off every so often and run a degreaser through it. The amount of oil and crud is rediculous for me just doing test runs.
Ill post a vid up ASAP!

There are supposed to be rubber gaskets between the shells of the FAST. It's not one continuous gasket but a dab of silicone where each piece ends is enough to make a good seal. They can be purchased from any dealer that sells FAST products.

lol Its not glue its kinda like a silicone. I sealed all the channels of the intake, But I dont plan on selling this either lol
I didnt wanna do "just a dab" cause Its was pulling air through the sides even with it sealed with the last silicone I tried
But all is well, except the harness and my CAI parts not holding together well

Drove the Vette Today, when I get on it to merge I cant shift past 2nd!! Right when I get close I get "Reduced Engine Power", Go through the DIC and find this exact code again...
P1515 Command vs Actual Throttle Position Performance (PCM Module)
All I do is reset it and my car is back to regular lol
Took it out for a drive just now to get that code # and got on it and the same thing happened. On my way home, going slow because I was scrolling through the DIC, car starts chugging again and wanting to cut off then I find this code ONLY
P1516 Command vs Actual Throttle Position Performance (TAC Module)
OK normally I would just reset it and be fine, this WOULD NOT go away, every time I reset it came back! lol the car would get better then sound like the lopiest loped out car!
I got my new harness from casper than was checked personally by a tech and then shipped to me. What could this mean? Please dont tell me a bad TB, Cause then Id be out 190 cause I doubt the member will take it back

WHOA... I hope you didn't glue those shells back together. I bought a used intake where the former owner did that. I was pretty PO'd when I received the intake. If you sell it in the future, please disclose that.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing. Theres suppose to be red rubber gaskets in all those groves inside the manifold. If installed properly, you dont need sealer except in the areas where each segment joins together.BC
This is just awesome, I really dont think I was told to get this by the guy I bought the intake from. Ive never seen this before either, but hey its sealed shut, nice and leak proof :yup:
The next order of business is those to codes, cause I cant really drive it, and damn is it dangerous when its at idle cause it could stall...That + crossing a highway? = No more me lol

Ok TTT Still need the help
The Symptoms:
This Code comes on ONLY when I get on it and so far ONLY in 2nd gear going into 3rd(the car gets reduced power in 3rd)
P1515 Command vs Actual Throttle Position Performance (PCM Module)
Remedy- Quickly go into the DIC and reset the PCM codes- car drives fine..
Code 2
P1516 Command vs Actual Throttle Position Performance (TAC Module)
This code is coming on sometimes at idle( when the engine is about 220*) AND When at low idle or "street use"
This renders the car compelety immobilized even if I clear the code!!
Remedy-Shut off car wait a couple minutes ( Doesnt happen during Highway driving)
What could it be???? My only idea is that I bought a bad TB?
Should I start up a thread asking for a nearby member to lend me an TB to pinpoint the issue?
Im sry this hasnt been easy guys, Tech,Lucky,Bill,033Marine Thank you for your guys help seriously. It woulda took me twice as long to get just this far.

I have had the same issues, you need to get to a good tuner. The LS2 TB flows way more air the the LS1/6 does. The tuner will adjust for that.
I am not so lucky at this point as my pcm is shot and needs to be replaced. Found this out after replacing the O2 sensors needlessly.
Good luck

Exactly what issue's did you have?
Im still in the need of a TB, I think Ill post a thread In the regional thread to borrow one, this is such a PITA
Your saying you had the codes 1515 and 1516? What did you do?
Good to hear!! Glad it worked out. I still need to find out if this is a tuning issue or mechanical OR a bad sensor in the TB
I just dont see how a throttle body can be causing you this much trouble. I would still be thinking vacuum leak of some sort. I used to check vacuum leaks in my superram intake by spraying starting fluid around the intake. If the idle changed you have a leak.
Dont spray the headers, lol.
Dont spray the headers, lol.
The car idle's fine, drives fine UNTIL I get the code 1515 and 1516. I could start it up right now and it would run fine, its just those two damn codes that keep popping up!
