I did. That is one persons experience. I would have called my CC company and reversed the charges.
I find it hard to believe one Chinese knock off is better than another. When I purchased from Ali, the seller contacted me directly and wanted to make sure I received the package and if it was in working order.
Perhaps our fellow Corvette buddy in post #185 just got the luck of the draw. It is China after all. $289 is worth the risk IMO.

*I had great experience with ALI-Express , dealt with a super person there, e-mailed back and forth to make sure I was happy. Mine came with broken DVD disc(DHL) and he sent new ones right out, I got them in 4 days !!!

One more question, on careucar web page it says cars only, no trucks. The tech 2 I had at work would work on trucks. One of my vehicles is a 2006 Silverado. Does this truck show up on the scanner?

I am fairly certain it works on all GM cars til 2013. I have used it on my 03 GMC full size pickup, and my sisters 07 Trailblazer !!!! (and my 99 vette of course)

I sent two emails to careucar asking about the truck coverage and got no reply. I did see on there FAQ that pick up & tahoe etc are covered. It seems strange that I got no reply. Makes me wonder why? Is anyone there, what if there is a problem with my order? When was the last time anyone has bought from them?

More info, I registered at careucar, they have an area where you can ask questions. Asked about truck coverage & why no email response. They said yes it does cover my truck & sorry for slow responce. So they don't answer normal email but do if you register. I will order my tech 2 tomorrow. I had some drinks tonite & want to make sure I order it correctly.

Yes I believed you, what I wanted from them was to respond to my email & I asked a question as bait to them. I felt it strainge that after 3 emails they would not respond. I wanted to make sure I could communicate with them before ordering. I did order my tech 2 this morning.

The reason I asked is I have a customer, ex chevy dealer tech, that wants to sell one. He is asking more than Ali wants for one of their knock-offs. I also wonder if it might be out of date as he switched over to the A&P game several years ago. At any rate I am not sure I need one at this point in my life. Mike

This post has really got my interest. I am interested in a tech 2 so I can learn more about the cars. Aliexpress is cheaper then CareUCar but CareuCar takes paypal. I see where you all have had no problems. Any problems with Credit Card numbers with either place? Any kick back. Your items seem to work and if they work a little for me, that would be great. Also Aliexpress is free shipping.

I purchased mine from aliexpress. Have had no problems at all with the unit.
If you purchase from them I believe that you will have to notify your credit card company prior to doing the transaction with them.
The first time I tried to purchase the payment was declined. I called the cc company and told them what I was doing and gave the cc company the total amount of the item. They then authorized a one time payment for the tech 2. It went right through this time.

If you have a 1997-2000, the TPMS is in the firmware and cannot be programmed. With the addition of the Z06 in 2001-2004, it can be programmed.
