and TPMS, as they are all cheaper than the earlier ones.
Then you just have to add the module with a tech2, DONE!
If you have an early C5, 97-00 and buy the 01-04 module, you need to
get another plug.
They are sold separately, don't remember where I got mine though.
Thats Great news , Finally the answer .

I have a 99 convertible i'm converting to a race car. I'd be happy to send you the RFA parts you require. However my ecu is a 99 so I have no ability to tune out TPMS. So I would be happy to do an even trade with you. My ecu and RFA parts for your ECU. You would not need to get a tech ii to turn on TPMS as its already on for my ecu.

If someone with more knowledge on this can let me know if there would be an issue with the 99 vs 01 ecu let me know. On the surface it seems us trading would benefit us both.

I can also give you front and rear light wire harnesses if those are giving you trouble

I DO NOT think it will fit electrical wise. You could probably rewire the connectors but,, That's something I would not want to take on.

The 01+ C5 were much different electrically than the earlier cars pin to pin wise.

I finally pulled it apart and yes there is no RFA .looks like a black piece stuck up there were i presume it some how clips in .also found blue connector with 3 wires to it ,again presume its for the RFA .Seems easy just buy another plug in and turn on in tech 2 yeah? But i bet being export car i need the correct one as like every thing else on my car dam plugs are different? anyone know ?

Glad to help you guys out, did a lot of research before
I finally got it solved!
Found the part numbers, got some of the parts from gmpartsonline.net
I found the tyre pressure monitors on ebay.
If you have a 01-04 you wont need the connector.
I will try to find the layout for the connector too, if someone have a 97-00.

Part Number Part Name

10312535 Receiver
12102635 Connector

The RFA module cannot be just "activated", you will have to reprogram the car
for another market since the RFA is not included for Japan.
In my case eorope was the closest, almost the same rear lights and such as Japan.

Good luck guys!
Klas

Hi there.
I also have Japan imported -03. There was no RFA module, neighter tyre pressure senders installed from factory. Also keyfob learn and tyre pressure menus where missing on DIC. As I wanted to have those options, I have installed 01-04 RFA 10312535 and enabled tyre pressure monitoring with TECH2. Now I can see tyre pressures in DIC and RFA datas with TECH2. TECH2 also shows that RFA has 2 keyfobs programmed and keyless entry is inactive. Now I need to find a way to set on the keyless entry option and turn on the keyfob relearn option in DIC to get keyfobs working. I keep you updated....

Great news everyone. I finally managed to sort everything out, factory fob is working, so I made instructions how to add us keyfob functionality to japan export C5 for those who don´t want to be wasting time trying to accomplish this task. If you don´t have TECH2, just print instruction and take it to shop..

Cheers

Hi Silli, did you have to do anything with lights? Did you choose Europe or USA? Cheers Tony

Hi there.
I have chosen USA at the moment, no need for light modifications as car already had JDM/ european rear lights. Dean, the bracket for RFA if existing is hard to see up there in wheel fender. In my car iholder was aged and cracked so I secured the RFA in place with 2 sided 3M tape. Not so pro but it holds and you can remove RFA module by twisting rather than pulling.
