[QUOTE=larney;1602356242]Did a couple of test and it appears the relay is bad. Didn't want to
take a chance so ordered the original one on Amazon.
Got the relays in today and after installing it I finally got power to that purple wire. Checked at the socket and under the car. I did not have any power at those points before. So I think that confirms, it was the relay. Will have the starter rebuilt. Will update next week.

After being out of town for a few days I finally got back at it. I put
in the relay, rebuilt starter(had mine rebuilt), the exhaust and all the
other little assorted stuff. And.................. Fired right up. At first it said
charging system fault, that went away. Then every start since then no
warning.
I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who reached out and assisted
in my journey. That's what's great about a community.

Did a couple of test and it appears the relay is bad. Didn't want to
take a chance so ordered the original one on Amazon. I have a guy
that has rebuilt an alternator and fan motor(for my Jag). I'm thinking
of having the starter rebuilt too. He'll charge 80 bucks. When you shake
it there's some noise inside. Might be better to get this taken car of now
while stuff is apart. Will post back next week with updates or questions.
Thanks again for all the help so far.

Good that you were able to fix your problem. Could you please post the Amazon link. Thanks.
