The best way to check your cooling system inlet without having a hoist is to jack the car up as high as you can get it (always use jack stands). Look up inside the air inlet with a flash light. Most of the debris goes to the top. If you have air compresser, use a blow gun and go between the radiator and the air conditioner condenser. The condenser looks like a small radiator infront of the radiator. Theres about a 1 inch gap between the two that you can see from under the car. Please use safety glasses when your doing this because there maybe alot of debris that will come out (more at the top). If you don't get anything debris out (leafs, small rocks, bags, ect) you don't need to get Debris guard, Save your money for something else.
If you have any qustions on how to clean the cooling system out. Please call me on my c-phone anytime (in reason) I will have it on over the 4th weekend if anybody needs help.

Ted:
Thanks for the help. This is exactly what I needed to know. I did some peering around and it looked a bit more challanging than I originally expected. It will be well worth doing given that we have 90 degree temps right now.

I just had mine installed and I swear, GM should be paying Ted for helping them fix what I consider a design flaw. I'm sure there are people out there who have had temperature problems with their radiator covered with junk. This should come stock on the car, without it your radiator is basically a sitting duck for getting leaves and other debris all over it or getting damaged from some rock bouncing along. And you have that plastic air diffuser thing directing everything and anything you drive over up in there.
