I was taught that if you are going to draw your weapon USE IT, so I would always assume a criminal who hold a gun on me would use it. Not saying you always have the opportunity to draw like the original OP the scumbag got the drop on him.

I can't stand when people ask would you really shoot someone over your wallet or car??? f#@king right. Why because it is mine and not theres and they know it!!!!!

How is taking a life in combat any different? All you see is a wallet being taken but I see a scumbag threatening another person life. What qualifies you to pass judgment?

Sir,

I am not one to be an internet Rambo, and I am not going to start now, but if someone wants to do me or my loved ones hard, then they have forfeited their rights and, their life has NO value in my eyes. I did not put them in that situation, they did that themselves through bad decisions. When I leave my house I always have a weapon with me, I have not had to use it since I left the military, nor do I wish to, but if it is life or death, I will choose life. I do recommend and practice OPSEC along with common sense, which together help keep me out of harms way. I will also do what ever it takes to reduce or minimize confrontation at all cost.

I would also like to say that I do not second guess the OP's actions because I was not there. I do not know the OP's abilities or skills for such as situation, but he is alive and in good health and at the end of the day that is the most important thing in my eyes.

I used to feel the same way....until thugs recently attempted to do a home invasion on me two nights in a row.

Now,my question to them is this.....Are you prepared to lose your life for my wallet??

also, all this talk about packing heat. you do realize that if he had reached for a gun, he'd wouldn't have been here to make this post.

Now THAT's the way to phrase the question...

And for the bleeding hearts...
Are you prepared to lose your life over your own wallet? Just because you hand them your wallet doesn't get you an automatic pass on living. They already showed they do not value your life, so why place your life in their hands?

What's up with some people. If the bad guy has the proverbial "drop on you," and you're not an expert in gun take-a-away, you do what he says. Once he lowers the gun and turns to leave, it becomes sketchy. If you shoot him, you better be well versed in creative story telling.

Man If i understand you correctly your living in a fantasy world.

Combat vs robbery is apples to oranges, If we turned the other cheek in combat you would be british!!! or worse yet a ****!!!

Shooting a scumbag who is robbing you or breaking in to your house is not passing judgement, it is a reaction to a situation that you have very little time to think.
Oh and here in Texas there are a lot of state laws that allow you to pass judgement, Thank God for Texas Legislators

They sent my Census form back! AGAIN!!! In response to the question: "Do you have any dependents?"
I replied - "12 million illegal immigrants; 3 million crack heads; 42 million unemployable people, 2 million people in over 243 prisons;
and 535 more in the U.S. House and Senate.
Apparently, this was NOT an acceptable answer.

I've already decided I'm not co operating with a criminal, but I have no wife or children.I'm not giving them that satisfaction.I should have died in 03,but I didn't.The last years 8 years have just been an added plus.Criminals suck, who do they think they are that they can take stuff you work your butt off for.

I don't know where it happened for sure, but if you look at his forum name you can probably figure it out. I hope people are more attuned to what is going on around them in parking lots than they are on the forum. It doesn't take rocket science to figure out what part of town he most likely lives in
