I did it in the garage and of course it didn't work until I "had" to take a spin around the block so the airwaves could do their job. But the only way I could get it to take was fast acceleration from 0-60
I chickened out and bought the CD (under $17) from eBay. My CD drawer on my laptop is kinda wonky and wanted to save the frustration. Got my clock back and navigation was always okay.
I have a 06 and lost nav and clock when I changed out my battery about a year ago. After going to the chevy dealer and finding out they were not aware of it. But after about 2 months my clock came back on and works great. The gps still takes about 5 mins to come back on but then works great.
It loaded fine for me as well. I noticed that the Corvette splash screen emblem looks different now when the Nav system boots, and I also see the clock now on the splash screen. I don't remember seeing that before.
I burned & uploaded the clock fix this past week end in my 07. It worked great. I am really happy to have the clock back again as I lost it over a year ago when I replaced the car battery.
Your post caught my eye. I to, do not remember the clock showing up on what you are calling the splash screen. I really like it though.
I don't mean to be ungrateful...and maybe its just me, but do you think the splash screen (C6 logo) outer edges now appear even fuzzier looking than they were before? I noticed at the end of the clock update, a very clear looking, possibly C7 logo, appeared momentarily on the screen. It was very crisp & clearly defined. I sort of just figured it was related to the Corvette engineer (who wrote the program fix), maybe his software signature, etc., etc. I am wondering if a clearer C6 logo is possible to install. Obviously this was a free update and I should be happy as is.. Just wondering...
I updated my car yesterday with a CD-R, Windows 10 and a USB burner. decompressed the file into a folder, burned the file. Did the upgrade in the garage, all is well. I will send the disk to anyone who would like it, just drop a PM.
When I burn the file I see this: LOADING.KWI 8/29/2019 KWI file 11104KB
I put this CD-R in my '07 all I get is 'Disc is not a map DVD' waited almost 3 minutes and nothing happened/
Any ideas
Thanks,

Depending upon the program that you use to burn the file, or CD-R you use, often the file does not burn successfully for the file to be recognized by the Nav DVD.
Many burning from the Windows 10 system program have not had great success with the file burn.
I personally used Nero Express (free download) to burn the file to a Verbatim CD-R and it worked flawlessly. I have burned some for friend of mine with the C6 platform, and sent a few out to forum members for free in the past.
There are many circulating as a pay forward as per above post. Maybe you can either try to burn using a known working burn program, or ask to have the CD-R sent to you in turn.
Is it necessary to re- insert the map DVD which I don’t have?
My attempt at the fix failed and I think it’s because either I burned the fix with Windows 10 or because I didn’t insert a map DVD after the file upload was complete.
