Work on that 60 and you'll be seeing some great times.

Your MPH shows much more than just barely breaking into the 11s.

My best time with my 07 C6 Z-51 with VR air intake at California speedway is 12.78 @ 112. I consider it stock. Goodyear runflats dont offer the best grip at any tire pressure!!!

put the stock intake on and it will be stock, as long as the vr is on its bolt/on

I guess this dosen't count, had the best run of my life and RED LIGHTED

Pass was made at Edgewater Speedway in Cleaves Ohio. The weather was very good, about 75 and partly cloudy. About once a year I race my friend Jim and his 67 Camaro. The first time we raced in 05 I beat him pertty good in my stock 05 C6, I ran low 13's and he struggled to break 14. Last year we raced again, I just got my 08 C6 and was looking to win again. But Jim had tweaked his Camaro with some go fast goodies and he spanked me. My times were in the mid 13's with Jim breaking into the 12's.
Last night was my first pass in my Vette with a set of LG long tube headers, and a Varraram CAI. Other then that my car is a stock Z51 C6 with a tune done by Modular Depot. There dyno shows 408 rwhp and 410 rwt. I ran the GY run flats at 30psi and was amazed at how well they hooked up on this notoriously slick track.

I wish i could have made it but I had softball. We got our butts handed to us, I should have went to the track! LOL

Is he still banned?
Not sure how the moderators will handle that one, Ed (aka: C6 DVL, the car's owner) being banned and all.
While I would think that someone who is perma banned would also have their car's track passes banned by the board administrators as well LOL it was you Doug that ran the 10.8 so it really should still be allowed on the lists, at least I feel that it should be. Maybe TommyD can check into that one?
I mean the poor car itself certainly didn't do any posting on the boards.

i think everyone that has posted a time for the list is a member in good standing, no matter who the driver is, the owner of the car is a member, and his screen name goes on the time, not the drivers. the car and owner name are listed not the drivers. now can you see that's how it changes it. you cant list you as the driver and put your screen name down as the owner, and Ed is banned that's just another reason to be nice and don't get banned, that could be one of the other penalties of being banned

That is quite impressive. My decision on my next car is so all over the board.

I was set on C6Z, then I see LS3's are doing quite well for 15k less than a used C6Z.

Curious how agressive was this cam? Can it still be daily driven, or is more like a CheatR cam for an LS1. That would be as agressive as I would want to go.

Then we are not being consistent.

Julio's name has been on the power adders list as driving the car, (Tek Hombre) although I do not believe he owned that car, if that has been that way for quit some time now, then it does not seam right that it would change for myself, don't you agree?

Obviously I did not post this right up, so it is not something I will live or die over, but if that's the way it has been, then that's the way it shall be.

I would not call it a super aggressive cam being under 600 lift, but you know it's there! With the tuning capabilities of the E38 PCM in the C6, they are very drivable with very large cams. However I would recommend driving in one and seeing what your opinion is. Cams are like exhaust systems, what's tolerable or not is up the driver, so do some homework before you purchase.

If you absolutely must have a Z, then you wont be happy with anything less. However for half the difference you can make an LS3 a Z killer.




I respect the members that put in the time and effort to keep the list as well as those who competitvely participate on it. But I'm glad as hell that I have nothing to do with it.

I'm not 100% sure, but Tek Hombre and Tek-Newbie were Cartek cars built and driven by Cartek before delivery at the customer's wishes. probably Dave drove them. and the owners weren't banned, if you look at post 1157 you will see the owner was Robert. don't no if he is a member or if he is banned, or if he ever was or if he got banned afterwards. i know Ed was I'm just having an opinion not mine but devils advocate no pun intended. it doesn't effect me if Ed is on the list. as i will beat his time with bolt /ons only yes you are right if that's the way it has been that's the way it shall be, except the banned part is a little different situation. really not the same. but the wise one TommyD keeper of the list, will be the one to decide

That's an excellent point and I even mentioned that somewhere (either on here or maybe it was to Julio directly LOL) about that. Julio (of Cartek fame, the one's that put that 9 second C6 together) definitely did not drive on that pass but he was the one that posted about it because the owner (Rob M. who, as Dennis mentioned above, was not banned LOL ) either rarely or never visited this board so whoever recorded that run to the list simply used the name of the poster which was 'tekhombre' (aka: Julio at Cartek).

Do you realise how poor sportsmanship this looks for two Cartek guys to work so hard on trying to discredit a cam only ECS car that is right there with the cam and heads cars from your favorite place of worship?
I really thought the intershop B.S. was beyond all of us at this point, but I guess not. It's too bad really, well I will be the better opponent and say that I think your car is very impressive Dennis, and even if you cant drive it to it's best yourself, it's good to know that you can have a jockey jump in it and put the time on the board so you can brag about it yourself.
