I would be interested in knowing if any folks have autocrossed the C6 withthe Z51. I just ordered an 07, with the Z51 for a museum pickup on 11/28. I just sold a 96, LT4 with the Z51. My wife and I autocrossed in the Sacramento and Reno regions. The 96 was awsome and I am looking forward to the additional horsepower.

Any C6 autocrossers?

Not sure if this was aimed at me, maybe not. But if it was, my run at 12.52 at 114.4 was a RAW time. Track elevation was 1250 feet, DA was 2700 feet. Corrected time would have been 12.19 at 117.

Now, I do agree with LT1LS1 that correcting has its limitations. Of course, I just ran .3 tenths quicker and 2 mph faster than 2 weeks ago and the only change was that the DA was 2700 not 3700 feet. I think the limitations are with Torque Management. It got even better by the last run (73F on first run 66F on my last run) and the car spun more off the line and then really laid down on the first shift, but it still ran almost 114.

I really envy how the automatics, especially the A6s, come out of the hole. (1.9s are common with the A6s and A4/3.15s)

You trap speed is great for an automatic also.

What mods do you have exactly????

Good job,

Howard
Thanks Howard. I have three mods. I did a K&N inlet, a 160 stat, and LG Pro Long Tubes with High Flow Cats and X pipe going through the stock catback.

I really don't think the K&N helped much, but it's a nice setup. I still want to do the Halltech shroud mod one of these days. First I want to scan my IAT's to see if it's really necessary. Now for the headers, I picked up 26 rwhp and 39 rwtq and this is without a tune. I got lucky that my A/F ratio was between 12.5 and 13.0 before and after the headers.

I sure like driving this car, except for the torque management.

Did you have traction control and active handling on or off?

I've always run with both off. I hold the button down for 5 seconds until the message appears that both are off. On the last run, when the car shifted to 2nd gear after spinning in 1st, it felt just like active handling where it just about kills the engine and then comes back on.

How do I get put on the list? I never asked before because I had never run with temps below 86 degrees here in Arizona.

External Engine Modifications (Bolt-Ons)
12.522 @ 114.43 - Glennhl -06 Z51 A6 - CAI, 160 stat, headers

These are RAW times and they will get better as the ambient temps continue to drop here in Arizona! For example, from just 2 weeks ago when it was 84 out, my time dropped .3 seconds and my speed increased by a little over 2 mph.

Dennis, thanks. I beat CBFR that night several times and he was asking if I did any additional mods. I told him that there were no additional mods and that all that happened is that I got driving lessons from you, LT1LS1, and Shurite 44!

I just realized that my 12.52 at 114.4 is quicker than Shurite's A6. Shurite, you list the same mods as mine. Which headers do you have? I went with the LG Pro's with high flow cats and X pipe going through the stock catback. I'm really pleased with my mph, it indicates I'm putting out excellent power. I'm just trying to figure out why my car is quicker than yours with equal mods. Also, which CAI do you have, I just went with the K&N, which really doesn't pick up much power. What kind of 60's do you have?
