Has anybody used the Vitesse Controller for HPDE's? If so good and bad please.
I do HPDE's with my 2007 C6 A6, 90k on stock drive train . Car has no power mods and I feel like this controller might give me more right pedal control/response.
Thanks
That's really going to be dependent on your ability to adjust to the sensitivity of the throttle. Right now you're used to a specific amount acceleration per pedal pressure. This device changes that amount. So with all of the other tasks you're demanding from your body and mind during an event, finding and keeping your line, steering input, suspensions travel, braking, gear changes, keeping that Porsche from passing you, etc., plus just the general adrenaline of such an event. If you change your throttle sensitivity you may find yourself with more acceleration than you had anticipated or even needed. So it's really going to depend on you finding a setting you like and becoming comfortable with it prior to getting on the track. Of course this is just my opinion.
Got my Vitesse today install took about 30 min...ran into a little trouble with the set up. Held down start without brakes for six seconds press a and b count down 3-2-1-0 letter L showed up pushed A once and H digit showed up but when i pushed to pedal to the floor and pushed A nothing..I didn't see the 100 show up. Restarted the whole process over yada yayda but only turned on Acc and it work...but it showed reduce engine and service traction control...Back to the Go... once more Acc 3.2.1.0..L..H..100 all good..but check engine came on..got my Diablo out to check the codes. Codes were P0171 System Tool learned P0174 System Tool learned P2122 Throttle/Pedal position sensor. Cleared the the codes and all good. Went for a spin and Sp09 is my position.

After driving for a couple of weeks, I've settled on SP5 for daily driving. SP6 is more fun but I find when you quickly let off the gas while accelerating fairly strongly, the auto tranny hangs in the lower gear, waiting for you to step on the throttle again (it's like driving is "S" mode). I rarely get that in SP5.
But it was at 485rwhp, which was nowhere near too much power, but I couldn't imagine using SP9 all the time. Everyone's acceptable acceleration threshold for street driving is different though.

Thanks. I was thinking of getting around 550 RWHP next year from stock and was curious how this device will influence it. I'm sure it'll be fun.
You should still get a tune... a tune will get you a few extra HP and also help with the trans shift points.......
But if you could only get one, the Vitesse seems to be a better option. I want the car act sporty like when I put my A6 in S mode and use the paddle shiffters.
From what I read, the Vitesse will change the throttle response, also changing the shift points later in the RPM range. Normal driving it should shift around 3-4000 RPM's.

Will the Vitesse help achieve this?
When you use the paddles, the control of the shift points is now your hands, with the lone exception of an off-throttle downshift.
