I'm all for electronics.. but I gotta draw the line at "auto blip".

For Pete's sake, blipping the throttle is like putting. It's not hard, just practice a little!

For me it's all about options. Sometimes I use it. Sometimes I do the old heel and toe. Just like sometimes I use a hand saw and sometimes I use a power saw. It's just a tool.

Auto-blip won't work correctly connected to the stock harness. You have to connect the auto-blip into the Vitesse harness at the throttle side. Pink auto blip wire connects to the white Vitesse harness wire. Green auto-blip wire connects to the purple Vitesse harness wire. I just put a couple of 22/18 female t-tap connectors on the Vitesse harness before I installed it so all I had to do is unplug the auto-blip from the stock harness and plug it into the Vitesse harness. Works perfectly with no codes.

+100% for more options to expand the fun horizon!

Nice solution to enable more options! Excellent technical contribution!

Works now, thanks. And you are correct it is all about options. Besides that, it is my car...

I installed it today and it works as advertised. Definitely worth the price. The best part is when you forget it's there and it surprises you( in a good way). Looks like my magic sleep number is going to be 7.

A big shout out to WasVette. I used your method and love the look and functionality. It is a great approach. Thank you for the PM with helpful tips. My ashtray door does close with the control pad in it but it gets funky lwhen I try to re-open it. I will just leave it open.

Need For Speed - My pleasure! Glad it went smoothly. Make sure you have enough slack on the wire coming out of the controller. That should be the only reason for the door hesitating to open unless something was compromised during the install (spring etc).

Looks great and the picture orientation is actually correct (unlike mine from my previous posts).

Now that I've had this unit for so long I really couldn't imagine driving the car without it. Crazy.

I have one of these in my own car, not the Vitesse one though, replaced it with a Stealth 2.0 from Revhigh. Goes up to SP11

Mr Mvvette97,

Taking my time, going very slowly, and installing it in the same location that's been pictured on this thread and on the C6 General thread (just left of the steering wheel) it took me about an hour. Hardest part of the install was the physical contortions of laying on my back under the dash, which I paid for for several days after the install! It's literally a plug and play operation, and if you don't like it (and trust me, you're going to love it) you can always simply unplug and re-plug the original set up.

Thanks man. Yea that's what i did. Just to the left of the steering wheel. It was alot easier to install than what I thought. I drove it lastnight and I can say it makes a heck of a difference. I cranked it all the way up just for fun. Needless to say that was too much.. I think I have it on 5 or 6 now. Seems to be about right.
