I like the C6, its a very nice for guys who don't care about performance and are looking for a good 'cruiser car'.

I am looking forward to a 06 Z, as I already put my deporist down and am 3rd in line at my dealer.

Are You Bashing The C6 Because You Cant Afford One??

I Can Speak From Experience I Drove A Zo6 And Then Bought A C6 Why?? The C6 Is A Much Better Car Than The C5 Generation In Every Way! Fit & Finish Is Great The Power Is The Same Or Very Close. Top Speed Is Faster Than The Z06?? How Can That Be A Girl Car?? It Also Has More Torque Than The Zo6 Earlier On Without Having To Rev It As High. 0-60 Is Around The Same

So I Must Ask You Why The Stupid Comments? Obviously Your Jealous! Back Up Your Mouth!

Why do C6 buyers always fall back on the 'you can't afford it?' He does drive a Z06. So, obviously he isn't too poor. Just because he didn't blindly order a C6 without even having seen one in person. Why does this make him unable to afford one?

The C6 is not as fast a Z06. Stop saying it is.

Or else what, your going to start saying every C6 owners mama wears combat boots? Grow up. There is always something faster out there. Im supposed to want a Z06 over a couple of tenths in the quarter. Give me a break. Anyone can throw a little money at a car and make it faster. You on the other hand can never throw enough money at your Z06 to make it as good as a C6. You heard me right. You want to get into a hp war with a C6 owner and your always going to be treading water cause he can go just as fast and he will always be in a better car doing it. Welcome to reality.

Your little base C6 is a cute little car. However, no amount of money you throw at it will make a Z06, 04 or 06. Face that reality.

You see thats just the thing. I do know the truth. If I wanted a Z06 I could of bought one for much less than the car I bought. If I wanted the Z51 I would have bought it. If I wanted any other options I would have got em. Fact is I like the ride on the base better than the Z51 or the mag which also rides a little different. My car will drive every day. To the store, out on the freeway, day to day grind. Which is what most cars do most of the time no matter how much some folks hate to admit it. Mine isnt destined for the track, I played the hp game when I was a kid. If I do decide I want to play the go fast game I can do so whenever I choose. I can go just as fast as you anytime my heart desires. Spend all the money you want and if I choose I can go just as fast. You however will never be able to have the improvements of the C6 till you buy one. No, my car is not a Z06 and I am glad because I did not want one. Why should I settle for that when I can do so much better? Like I said, welcome to reality.

I currently have a 04 ZO6 and love it. Am thinking about trading our 350Z in on a C6. But because of people like crabman I would almost be ashamed to be seen in one. I don't want to be associated with that mentality.

Yes, forum 101. Do not post when angry. I have been reading the "My Z06 is better than a C6" posts for a long time and finally reached my limit. I have been ignoring these posts and should have continued to do so.

I am not an owner of either cars but I did have an order on an 05'. The color combo I wanted was taking to long so I just bought a viper. Anyways I was at the local races the other night and I was racing my mustang(Naturally Aspirated), which is probably a little faster than the SRT-10 because of the gearing, and I raced an 05' and a newer Z06 twice. I have the time slips for all four runs and the Z06 was faster than the 05' but only by a couple 100ths. That would hardly be enough to call an 05' a cruizer. The trap speeds were almost identical and the Z06 had better 60ft times. By the way this track is up hill and slick.

C6 (best)

60ft 2.22
1/8th 8.823
86.92

Z06 (Best)
60ft 2.09
1/8th 8.793
86.72

These times may have been better in other runs but from what I have on my slips these were their best runs.

Any idea if the Z06 was a 405 hp car?

I never though I would be defending Z06monster, not that he needs it or asked for it, and I will be cast out of the C6 brotherhood for writing this but here goes.

The fact is the Z06 is a more capable car performance wise than a stock C6. Since I own a C6 I think I can speak to my own experiences. I think that at speeds up to 85-90 mph the most drivers will be more than satisfied with the handling and stability in just about any situation.

Any thing above triple-digit speeds you need to tred lightly and you better have a good idea what you are going to do because you might be allowed 1 correction if you make a mistake, but probably only 1 before you lose control. I have noticed that in a straight line at about 120-130 mph there is a lateral input at the rear of the car somewhat floaty for lack of a better term. Can I or will I add the equipment necessary to raise my stock c6's handling to a higher level so I can try to get my C6 to put up numbers like Z06monster's Z06. Probably not, I would get a Z06 next year. Did I expect my C6 to compete or exceed the Z06. No of course not. I bought my car for an altogether different reason, and I can accept that.

The bottom line is all of the C6 owners who have been "Butt hurt" by Z06 monsters comments need to get a life. If you don't like your car sell it. But don't try to argue a losing cause. The '06 Z06 is getting close.

It is only reasonable to expect a higher level of performance from the Z06 than the C6 IMHO.
