After 4 days of ownership my GPS went wacky. GPS stopped picking up a signal and the GPS message on the screen shows a red X thru it. Every now and again it works for a bit and then goes off again. Dealer service this morning said it was likely a software glitch altho I suggested maybe a crimped wire going to the PDR camera as many on the Forum have said. Back to dealer on Thursday. I'll update.

Update to GPS problem - after a day and a half at the dealer they, with the help of the Corvette engineers, decided that it was EMF interference on the coax cable near the radio. The intend to wrap it with something. As soon as they figure out what, and procure the material, I have to bring it back.

Reason: update on GPS issue
2015 Z51 3LT. Wind noise on both driver and passenger sides. It sounds like it is coming from the top rear of both side windows. Anyone else with a similar problem and any known fixes?
I have a 2014 Z51 convertible and lately the turn signal no longer makes any sound when in use. After restarting the car, the use of the signal causes the clicking sound to occur but after turning it off again and restarting the car, the turn signal may no longer make the sound again. It has been happening intermittently over the last 3 months or so. The car has the 2LT interior with no navigation. The local dealer I take the car to is stumped for now as to why the signals don't always make the sound when in use but instead just occasionally, especially after restarting the car. Does anyone out there have a similar problem and if so, has it been fixed and how was it accomplished? The rear tail lights do work when I use the signals but I don't hear anything inside of the car even when the stereo is not in use. I'm kinda stumped for now but maybe one of you all can enlighten me (and the dealer)?
[There is a section in the owners manual about expected brake noise. But if you think the noise is over and above definitely get it looked at. My 2014 lt2 z51 that squeaks a little too.
UOTE=c7stingray;1585168634]Crystal red z51 3lt 620 miles
So I'm taking my c7 in tomorrow as the brakes squeal at low speeds when barely applying the brakes (15mph-0) I thought maybe brake dust or new brakes but this sounds like a bus. And worst it doesn't do it every single time so gonna have to recreate it for the dealer. Does it 8/10 times tho so shouldn't b a problem. Read around that it's common with ceramic brakes but def not acceptable on a 70k car. Will keep updated on solutions. Wish me luck!

I have the exact same issue.
I will be curious to find out what the dealership tell you.
Please let me know and thank you!!
And...best of luck!

Reason: missed a line
I have almost 11k miles on my 2014 Z51 and with the cold weather coming again I wanted to see if folks were having luck with non-run flat tires.
A bit concerned about this if I experience a flat. Asking the forum for good options. Possibly an air compressor with cig adapter and can of fix a flat. Any others
Just an FYI to the forum...
Traveled to the Ocean City Md. vette weekend last week and 100 miles into the trip got the message my right front tire had Zero air. Thought it might be the sensor, but stopped to check. It was a flat where all the air rushed out at one time.
Went to local tire repair to find out my valve stem actually came lose (nut backed away) allowing all the air to escape. Never thought to check this for preventive maintenance.
I wanted to share so you don't run into the same issue.

Uhhhhhhh...run flats don't need an air compressor or fix-a-flat.

Ahhhh..yea... a 12 volt compressor and either a tire plug kit or the new style "safe for TPMS" Fix-A-Flat.
When I replaced the tires on both my C5ZO6 and C6 coupe, I used non run flats, carried a compressor and tire plug kit and never had a problem in over 100K miles combined
Do you have any additional information regarding the GPS issue?

2014 Non Z51 vert, about 5000 miles on the clock. Earlier today, I had to accelerate hard to pass a line of slow moving trucks. I was hitting the gas pretty hard and the car was delivering torque magnificently, when suddenly she bogged down. The RPMs dropped and the car began to slow. After maybe 2-3 seconds (my pressure of my foot on the gas pedal never changed) , the car suddenly resumed its rapid (and expected) increase in speed and I completed my maneuver with no further problems. VERY WEIRD
So I'm currently on the trip home from the museum delivery to the Tacoma, WA area.
I set the cruise control to 9mph over the speed limit. I get pulled over. The cop did an instant on with his radars gun so detector was too late. In the middle of nowhere in Wyoming.
I'm courteous to the officer. I put my hands up to show him I'm not armed and pass him the papers when he comes to the window. He goes back to his car, comes back and writes me a ticket for 10mph over. I kid you not. And this is when I have pick up trucks passing by me all day long going at least 20 over the limit.
I'm not proud of this, and I know I'm going to get flamed by a lot of you for this, but I totally lose my cool. I curse at him and ask him if he feels good about "teaching me a lesson for being a rich snob in a nice car." I tell him all he had to do was wait 5 minutes and someone would come screaming by at 90mph plus, but you have to go after someone in a nice car don't you. He starts to say something and I ask him pointedly if I'm being detained- yes or no. He finally says no so I put the car in gear and pull away leaving him standing there.
I'm REALLY not proud of this, but this was a simple case of mean spirited spite. Sorry if I've put Vettes in a bad light for you all, but I just couldn't help it.
So on a different subject, this car is a rolling computer. Nav display, DIC connection with my itnues playlists on my phone, oil change % after a mid trip oil change in Bozeman, and other stuff all stop working, and then start working again by turning the car off then back on again.
PLEASE GM! Really??
Stingray is in the shop for the third time. First it was for weather stripping along rear hatch; part ordered and replaced 30 days later. Second was rear shock recall. Done. Now, drivers seat is detaching from backing along left side. GM sent to upholstery shop for repair, but it wasn't done correctly, so they sent it back. If the second attempt is a no-go, I WANT A NEW DRIVERS SEAT! Also, the driver's side window weather stripping was just replaced (while waiting on the seat repair) and radio will not play sound in XM. Get sound in all other modes (AM/FM, BT) but in XM sound goes out intermittently. Car has been at the shop for 4 days now. This isn't what I expected from the halo car in Chevy's lineup.

Anybody know anything about this???
Did you tap your brake at all??? Rest your foot on the brake?
New software on my 2010
Toyota truck "stops" engine when brake pedal is touched...even
while accelerating...suppose to keep dumba$$e$ from killing themselves if gas pedal gets "stuck" and they don't know how to brake or put in neutral or turn off ignition. Maybe GM does the same?

The safety controls will kick in if you put the foot to the floor, as is sounds like you were, and do not have the steering wheel straight or almost straight. Prevents rear wheels from braking loose. Might have been the issue.

Could have been as you describe. Strange to lose acceleration halfway through a maneuver...
at 65 mph if you have the controls off.....it may have kept the car straight instead of spinning out. There is a lot of torque.
Would this same safety feature kick in during a zero-to-60 launch? I tried that for the first time a few weeks back and the engine lurched kind of on and off before I got up to speed. I just assumed my nervous pedal foot was oscillating.
Do not know for sure since I have never launched the car. If

There is a launch sequence in the owners manual that will allow for just a little spin for maximum acceleration....but if you turn off everything and just floor it you should be able to burn through a set of tires in a couple launches. But from your description it sounds like what was happening is the controls were managing the launch to prevent a burn out....working as it should.
