LBS Hmmmm ... not sure. Try this sequence: Memorize seat (and other) settings for Drivers 1 and 2 first. Then memorize exit settings which in most all cases places the seat all the way back and down. Then, if you go to Settings on the NAV-Audio center screen and select ("on when the ignition is turned on), "on" also means your selection is "on" to return the seat to driving position when the ignition is turned on. .... that keeps the seat back until you can get in and start the car .... Hope it works. Did with my C7 and I was really frustrated with this problem until I hit on this remedy ..... Sam

Sam,
This came from customer service
Manual Trans:
On your infotainment display press Home -> Settings -> Vehicle -> Comfort & Convenience -> Auto Recall On or Off. Pg.146 in the Owner’s Manual
The only available selection is On or Off. If On is selected - When the Vehicle ignition is off and upon opening the driver door the seat will recall to the desired position as long as the seat is not all the way back against the rear bulkhead contacting the pressure contact switch.
2) Supervised Operation – Supervised operation means you have to continue to hold the memory recall button until the seat is at the desired set position. Note: releasing the memory seat button during this operation will stop the seat movement, press and hold the switch again to resume the recall until the desired position is met. The Unsupervised operation occurs anytime the vehicle ignition is not in the Run Position. If the seat is against the rear bulkhead you may either get no operation or supervised operation may occur until it is off the bulkhead switch.
3) Unsupervised Operation – Unsupervised operation means upon a momentary memory button press (less than ½ Second) the seat will recall to the desired position as long as the following criteria is met.
a) Auto Trans – The vehicle is running and the trans selector is in park and the seat is not against the rear bulkhead pressure switch.
b) Manual Trans – The vehicle is running and the clutch is depressed and park brake is on and the seat is not all the way rearward against the Bulkhead contacting the pressure switch.
I know it makes no sense, but M7 does not give you a option in screen. Only option is on or off. On moves the seat ahead when you open the door before you get in. No sense at all.
I agree!
I just tried a number of things. I was able to duplicate the one problem reported which was to have the seat return to the drive position when you open the door! Never had that before! Did that with the Auto Recall set to ON. As you say that makes no sense!
Tired all combinations and currently have Auto Recall OFF and Easy Exit On. Works but requires the button to stay pushed untill all return. I also tried putting the transmission in reverse since the auto folks need to have it Park. Made no difference.
Sounds like a software issue to me but 1st Chevy needs to admit the manual or the software is wrong!!
Also tell us why it worked in the C6! Perhaps there was a lawsuit. Reminded me of when my wife and her brother (a big guy) made an 12 hr trip to see a relative. We had just gotten her SUV and my wife took only her key, which had her seat programed. I had not even programed mine. When he took over driving, and put the key in the ignition, as he said, the car was trying to crush him!! When they came back from the 5 day trip, he was mad! He just had a gastric bypass-maybe the car was trying to tell him something!!
2014 Corvette Coupe, Canadian model.
When starting the car in the morning , center display flickers. Once car is warm it is normal for the rest of the day. GM Canada says it is a known problem that they expect to have a fix for in mid February.
Apparently there is a service bulletin out on this issue.

That makes it clear why it doesn't work like the C6! With a standard shift, the car has to be running! To get the car running I have to push in the clutch, to push in the clutch I have to have the seat forward! A catch 22!! It was not that way in my '08 C6!

Wooo! Way to complicated! I guess I was just lucky because mine, an (A6), works perfectly.
From the Customer Service post it appears that my "Exit" position may not be all the way back to the pressure switch. ??? Is that not a temporary fix for the M7 also? i.e., stay off the pressure switch? But still have the seat move back far enough to exit easily?
Prior to finding the "fix", it aggravated me big time to have the seat return to the driving position while trying to get in.
I found that if you hold the memory button down for any length of time, it goes into the manual mode. Try hitting and releasing the button really quick. That seems to work for me. I know there is supposed to be a mode that sets the seat when you turn on the engine, but I haven't tried that yet.
Hi Buzzard,
If you are having issues with your memory recall, shoot me a PM with your VIN. We have a troubleshoot sheet that may help!
Marissa, can you create a link for that sheet or just post it with a break down for M7 and A6 models as there seems to be differences between them?
Thanks
Also, an official explanation on why the behavior is broken compared to the C6 MN6 cars would be nice. There are a lot of individual threads and posts on this subject outside this thread.

Nor was it like that in my C5 Z06. This is honestly pretty lame. It should be simple. With recall on, it should simply wait for the door to shut and then the seat should move forward. I'm not sure why this is so trivial to me. It shouldn't be a big deal to make it work like that.
I've gotten used to putting the seat belt on and starting the car, then waiting a sec to press one, then waiting again for the adjustments to finish, then dropping the ebrake. But honestly, that's pretty lame.

Looks like a poll in a new thread is called for on how the manual C7 seats should work.
Anybody else annoyed by the plastic clear guard on the side panel below the door. II don't like that you can so easily see the border, especially when it's not 100% clean.
I tried taking it off, but it looks like it's on there pretty good and would need some kind of adhesive remover to clean off the glue residue.
Hi every one I have a c7 z51 3 Lt.coupe I have had some issues with my c7 and one of them was the inner panel for the hatch there was spots on it that looked like someone tried to repair it what they told me at my selling dealer was that he has seen a few of these and that they had to remove and sand it and repaint it fine it was done and I was happy with the job.The second problem was oh my car is black by the way.is that I had it parked in the shade on my driveway had the car started and was presetting my radio Chanel's my grand daughter wanted to set in it so I got out and open the passengers door then I heard a popping noise when I look at the door I had paint missing from it you all could imagine how I felt anyhow I took it to the dealer and they told me that the offender was too close to the door and that they had to make a minor adjustment but mind you now the door had to be repaired and that ment paint so the dealer body shop mgr told me don't worried seen this on one other you must have left it in the sun and the front fender go swollen I told him I did not leave the car in the sun I had the car started and I believe the heat from the engine is what made the front fender swollen so they repaired it lucky it was just on the inside of that seam where the door from fender separates I am trying to excepted and be happy with it but I'm not so all this is leads to my one question did anybody experienced this with their right front fender and right side door with the paint

Did you guys take it off, and how did you do it?
This will come off. Mine was removed as I had clear bra installed over that entire area. All you need to do to remove the factory installed film is to use a heat gun or hair dryer and heat the film up. It will come right off and then use adhesive remover to clean up the area.
good luck!!
my c7 got hit in a parking lot last night does anyone know a good corvette body shop in naples florida or some place close who specialize in corvette …..thanx
The seat motors do not have microswitches, for position limits the BCM/ECU monitor current load of each motor/direction. When it senses a current spike, it determines this to be an obstruction or the motor has reach it's limit & kills power to that particular motor/direction. If this occurs when the Easy Exit or Seat Recall is active, it disables the whole functionality until you can prove it's not obstructed by manual operation. This is ALSO why everyone's seating positions limits are not all EXACTLY the same.

Lets face it GM has the memory seat programed backwards for the C7 manuals. The seat should go to the drivers position after your seated and when the door is closed not when its opened before you enter. My C7 manual is the 11th corvett ive owned and this is the first time this has happened with a manual.
Doesnt take alot of brains to figure this one out. GM are you listening!!!!!!
If you set in your driveway with the car running and your book open and the center screen on settings, you'll be able to figure it out. It can be set as yours is or go to the memory position after you're in and hit the correct memory button. The logic is not like cars we're used to so it requires the above with the book in many cases. Took 'me' awhile but I got it figured out finally.

Have had my C7 coupe from the 1st week in October. Mine still does the same thing. Some have said it is the “stiff” seal and it will get better-maybe! Mine hasn’t yet, although I seldom try by slamming. Here is my workaround and it works every time with very little force. If you’re getting out of the car and then getting into the hatch, leave your door open and close the hatch 1st, bet it takes little force! If you’re getting into the hatch as your about to enter the car, open the door 1st. Not as convenient but it works! I can’t even push on mine without watching the hatch bend-so I don’t do it! Just not enough of a vent without a door open. Not sure if the vert is the same, but worth a try.
my works fine but this is my 23rd vette and by now with all these people complaining about the hatch problem why not make it power assisted problem fixed….

The regional part of the forums is probably a better place to ask this
