I use shell high test; at the same gasoline station that I fill up my C6 which is modified and goes like hell. I have lost all confidence in my C7 a performance car that fails to perform .....we'll see what the Chevy techs say
I just bought my C7 and the center console USB and SD card ports are not working, the USB port behind the stereo works fine. Taking it in to dealer next week. Anyone seen this, or know the issue ?
Got an Onstar notice Campaign # 2014302 Replace rear shocks !!! I contacted my local dealer and told him the information but Chevy website down for maintenance as well as his dealer website !!! Vin last five 15658 !!! Thanks for any input you have !!! Wayne
Hey Wayne,
Thanks for your post. Please feel free to send us a message if you have questions in particular regarding the rear shocks recall.
Not really sure what is going on at this point just loaded my C7 on the back of a wrecker to have it hauled in to the dealership. I drove the car out to our lake lot and didn't notice any issues on the drive over. Then one of our friends wanted to check it out so I took him out and started the car. It seemed to have a little extra shake to it at random times. After just a few minutes it started doing it more and it felt like the engine was misfiring. Called OnStar and they did a diag and showed nothing was wrong. Then called the dealership & they suggested having it towed in to them. While loading it on the truck the check engine light finally did come on.
Well nothing to serious, at least for now. I am being told that a spark plug wire just came loose. Will post if something else changes.
Two minor issues were noticed during PDI that I am mentioning and will update with causes and remedies once fixed.
1. The pointed corner of the front left bumper cover next to the headlight keeps sticking out, possibly a defected or missing clip.
2. The center of the rear top fascia immediately under the spoiler light sticks out as well exposing the edge right below the light.
The dealer is going to remove both bumper covers and check for any issues with clips.
Mine is not lifted however so tight that its creating chipping where the 2 pieces meet! I haven't had this addressed yet but will soon

I picked up my C7 convertible at the museum on July 23. Drove it home to PA, some 800-miles, with out issue. When I got home, had to wash it, of course. The third brake light filled with water. I had an appointment with the dealer the next day to have the oil changed and get a state inspection, so I told them about the brake light. Was told " No problem, we have one in stock." The cause was the stripe, which I had ordered with the car and was applied at the factory (after the water booth test). I now have over 1,500 miles on the car and have had no other issues. Let's hope it stays that way. This is my 7th Corvette and the best one I've had to date. Really love this car!!
i have a new c7 convertable manual, when i push the nav button to lower the door it does go down . however it will not go back up unless i put the car in reverse???

I have the same issue, however it was not pointed out during PDI. Located on the drivers side. Have not brought it in to the dealer yet. I also have an alignment issue with the leading and trailing edge of the roof hatch. The drivers side sits high(above the windshield top molding).

There have been quite a few panel alignment issues. Mine is so bad the dealer is ordering a complete rear fascia. It was supposed to take 2 weeks to get the parts and its coming up on 2 months. Not very happy about it but apparently nothing I can do. Dealer is being told part is on back order which makes no sense because the same part is being used on the 2015 model which is in production. Very frustrating.
Just got back from my first trip in the corvette (about 1600 miles)
During the trip, the buttons on the bottom of the infotainment system quit working, including the menu button. Stopped for gas and after I started the car up again, they started working. The same thing happened on the way home. After several hours of driving the buttons quit again. Restarted after I stopped the car for about 10 minutes.
A stop and a quick shut down and restart did not help, the car had to sit for about 10 minutes.

Had multiple issues with the Nav system also
Please feel free to reach out to us with more details on your Infotainment system. We'd be glad to take a look into it for you!
No, this isn't about having to hold in the memory seat #1 button to get the seat to return to the memory seat location. This is something I have not seen posted before.
M7
- #1 seat position and exit are set
- Easy Exit is on
So it used to work thus:
- Sit in seat (seat is all the way back in easy exit position)
- Press clutch in
- Start car
- Press and hold #1 memory seat button
- Seat returns to memory seat setting #1
At about 500 miles this is what happens
(Same steps as above)
- Press and hold #1
- Steering wheel moves 1/2 an inch then stops
- Press and hold #1
- Steering wheel moves another half an inch then stops
- Press and hold #1
- Steering wheel moves another half an inch then stops
- etc
If I reach down and move the seat forward just a little and then press and hold #1, viola it works! If I don't do that, it just seems to start to work and then stops in little jerky steps.
Nothing, except moving the seat a little seems to fix the problem. Waiting, same problem.
I guess I'll have to take it in but I haven't heard of this one before. Again it was working as expected for an M7 for the first 500 miles.
My auto memory recall was working and now it is not.
Set to auto exit and auto recall "on ignition".
Tried moving auto exit position forward & up as some have said. Still does not work (either 1 or 2). Also tried to set auto memory to work at door opening. This does not work either. This has nothing to do with where the exit position is. It just does not work. I live 100 miles from the nearest dealer. Any ideas?
Couple of different noises coming from inside car.
1. When turning left have a whooshing sound coming from the dash, doesn't happen any other time.
2. When AC is on, have a noise coming from passenger vent area that sound like water sloshing around, very noticeable at low speeds. Only happens in AC mode regardless of settings.
Car has 2700 miles.

Hey Rookie55,
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing these noises in your Vette! I can understand how annoying something like that could get, especially while driving. Feel free to PM us if there's anything we can look into for you.
Issue #1: Cant fuel up, new "capless" fueling system keeps making the pump shut off. Spoke with a Chevy engineer while at Corvette's at Carlisle down in PA. He advised that he also had problems with his C7 and told me to have my dealership call TAC service for a tempory fix. He stated that a recall should be out shortly.
Issue #2: Passenger window molding coming off where window and top of door panel meet.
Thought this experience closing my hatch today might be worth relaying to the Chevy Team. After all, they can only do so much testing. I have had my C7 since early October. Have never been able to close the hatch and have it latch, no matter how hard I pull down on the “designed hand hold.” Have tried from various heights/force, adjusted the hatch stops to a point of misalignment and checked to be sure my memory wire vent was working-it is, opens wide in about 1 second and stays open until the hatch is closed.
With the door open, which is what I normally do, I can close it from various heights with little force. In fact today I was getting the last groceries out of the hatch and the car doors were closed. So tried a hard pull down-it didn’t latch, as expected. However I opened the driver’s door and rather than go to the back, simply pushed down on the hatch from the side with my right hand using very little force! It closed and latched easily! Guess I can now stand by my driver’s door and close the hatch with my right hand, then close the door with my left!
I have had my Black/Kalahari C7 z51 coupe since delivery on 5/13/14. On three trips from Phoenix to Flagstaff and less than 1400 miles, the transmission (M7) has slipped out of 7th gear 3-4 times per trip cruise on/ off during highway speeds (75-85) on down slope/grades. I thought this might resolve itself over time but apparently not. Vehicle is now at Autonation Chevrolet Peoria for warranty service. Have there been any other issues of this type on similar vehicles?

JerryU,
We really appreciate your post, because as you know, having the #1 vehicle(s) is extremely important to us . I'm able to document experiences and feedback into our system where multiple departments can view the information. I'll make sure I add this one in case enhancements are considered for owners like yourself.

Had the exact same problem myself. A forum member helped when he posted to simply allow the hatch to gently come down, rest on the latch and with the plam of your hand gently push down and my hatch now closes each and every time. If you try to close with the doors and windows closed there is no place for the air to go (design issue). The gentle push works every time...good luck and hopefully it will work for you as well.
