** C7 Reported issues and resolutions thread **
But I have to tell you, for those on the fence about changing to MGW, DO IT!!!! What a finely piece made of equipment. I had one in my old C6 and loved it, that was before they started including the bottom piece as well. My G-D what a HUGE difference it makes! Wife loves it too.

So I'm taking my c7 in tomorrow as the brakes squeal at low speeds when barely applying the brakes (15mph-0) I thought maybe brake dust or new brakes but this sounds like a bus. And worst it doesn't do it every single time so gonna have to recreate it for the dealer. Does it 8/10 times tho so shouldn't b a problem. Read around that it's common with ceramic brakes but def not acceptable on a 70k car. Will keep updated on solutions. Wish me luck!

Issue: Radio would randomly change channels. Radio would also not read my iPod from any USB port. When the iPod did read, it would skip thru the songs or the song playing. Also, AC would randomly come on by itself and change settings. The temp reading and level readings would also randomly disappear. Dealer spoke with Chevy engineering and discovered one of the controller modules was dead. Part was shipped from BG to dealer. No eta on arrival. Car has been at the dealer with half the dash torn a part since Thursday.
Original Problem 10/10: Car taken to dealer. After several attempts to identify problem, tech spoke with Chevy engineering. Problem identified as defect control module for A/C and Radio. Entire driver side and center console removed from car. No dealer has stock so part being shipped from BG plant.
Update 10/14: Apparently Chevy is in NO hurry to help me get my one week old car back on the road. Part identified as bad on 10/10. Still no ETA on when part will arrive. Hey Chevy, it's called overnight shipping!!

Update 10/15: Just spoke with dealer service dept. Part arrived. Did not fix the issue. Chevy is flying in an engineer who may be here by Thursday to try and figure out what the problem is. Oh and after he figures it out, I still have to wait for a freaking part to be shipped again from BG. I've owned the car for 12 days, been in in the service dept. for the last 5 of those 12 days.

Update 10/16: Just spoke with dealer service dept. Three engineers from Chevy showed up this morning to try and figure out what the issues are with my car. Should have an update later today.
Follow-up: Dealer just called and said engineers bypassed the radio and got everything to work. Appears the central control unit controls not just radio, nav, etc, but also the AC. New one being overnighted from BG and I should have my car back by end of day tom.
Update 10/17: No show on the part. Apparently issue was identified by 11am yesterday but no one ordered the damn part until 3, after the cut off for overnight shipping. Part MIGHT be here tom. Going on 8 days now at the dealership... I've owned the car for 14 days, been in the service shop for 8.... GM...UTTER FAILURE!!

Update 10/18: Radio unit replaced. All is well in the world
Read your post from some time ago with extreme interest. Just picked up my '14 Stingray 3LT, Z51 7sd coupe from Corvette Conti and drove it back to Texas. No problems until 3 days ago when I am experiencing EXACTLY the same issues you described. Would you happen to know the part number for the central control unit that they replaced which resolved the issue. Thanks!
Have owned many vettes. you get the idea.
Anyway target production dates For the Stingray.
6-9-14 THRU 6-13-14 its complete now.
Purchased waiting for delivery. Now I am scared of it
Setting in Nashville reading this thread it appears that i was correct in waiting. But wow.
There are problems with it yes?
Well Well Well
If a Corvette shows any sign of door chipping FAST-
cracked body panels FAST-
codes in it FAST-
lights on steering wheel not working FAST-
air bag code FAST
or blown engine FAST? Note the short list.
Wrong decal on oil filter ? wow that's the one that scares me. It should be delivered FAST to the plant not a dealer?
And the Plant Manager can explain FAST since it's his job? You think.
Not my job or you guys job to make sure they are perfect and his plant people do their job.
I know you get some cars that will no doubt have trouble but this seems to be heading in the wrong direction.
80 something pages of trouble?
And the one about the guy in the plant swinging on the door to line it up what tha heck is that ?WOW
Is Nashville to BG a close tow? Has anyone found a tennis ball in yours yet? Or Yellow fuzz?

I've only had just a very few small issues with my 2014 vert. One that is especially puzzling is my Home link. I have matched/programmed the buttons as directed to my Chamberlain rotating code style garage door opener and the button does work to open and close the garage door SOMETIMES. Well, it will always close the door, but only open the door about 40% of the time. The other times, I have to get out of the car and open the door from the inside. It has gotten frustrating enough that I have started carrying the original visor clip opener that came with the garage door opener, which of course should not be necessary.
Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Thanks. And to start with I love my C7 convertible. It shares the garage with a 1968 427 convertible and just walking down there makes me smile.
As you may have read in other threads, entering a POI into the NAV system through a .CSV file is not going well. In addition, the infotainment manual that came with the car has errors in how to do it. If you must stay with the CSV file, an on line program to generate personal POI files (perhaps tied to Google Maps) would be a solution.
The second problem with the center display has a safety element to it. The daylight background is a gray/blue that makes the maps almost unreadable with the top down. To read a passing street name, for example, requires going head down for a long time. I've tried my Garmin portable in the same environment and it is readable with its white background on the map. That should be fixable in software.
Thanks for listening!

Daily BSD not happening.
Now to fix the a/c grr'ing problem. Service manager says they listened to other C7's and heard similar noise, so they concluded it was normal!! WTF??? Will deal with problem the next time....

As a side note, the tech also noticed that the engine was going into "safe" mode under aggressive throttle. Which I noticed a while back. I would punch it and the engine would hesitate on the downshift and the TC light would flash before full acceleration picked up. The tech updated the engine software and now she is very quick on the downshift and the TC light no longer flashes.
