Default DIC Update for HVAC

Is there a date when this update was available to the dealers? Mine was at the dealer on Tuesday, 12/17, all software was to be updated. Still have same issues with the HVAC system as stated in the other posts.

If you have them in the picture chances are you have them all over the car and from the looks of the pics you are going to need a paint correction in the form of a professional detail. Those scratches are not light and it would take you forever to do it by hand if you could even generate the power needed to remove those scratches with your arm.

I only have the first 2. No suspension option. Have contacted 2 dealers and called Chevy. Case number created. I searched but couldn't find where others have noticed or had this problem. Started a new thread as well since this one is becoming saturated. I figure either they removed the option, or my ECU was loaded with a version for cars without the magnetic ride since i don't think the non-magnetic ride with Z51 or non-Z51 is adjustable. Its a big deal considering the responsiveness of the engine (throttle mapping/timing) and the automatic transmission shift points and aggressiveness are different from touring to sport to track. Most roads here are not track suspension setting worthy and would rattle you unmercifully. No one seems to have a clue. Can anyone else with a magnetic ride confirm that this setting does or does not exist for them. If note, I would hope that this setting option is added with an ECU reflash as out of the 3 options under driving mode it is then only one I care about.
Your correct the 3rd option Suspension never made it to production. I agree the track mode set is not useful for any open road & they state that as well in the manual it's intended for closed road racing. However there are amateur circuits that use the public roadways in a closed road fashion, so that would make the request a valid point.

All things considered, I'd hope that in the future preferably from GM we could see an updated that would make the combinations between suspension, exhaust, steering, stabilitrak, TCS, eLSD, & the various performance modes a little more independently selectable. If it were not updated from GM I sure all of these tuner companies out there one of them would probably offer something similar before long.

(p.s. I do NOT turn on the A/C any time during the day before)
Any body else have this happen??

I took delivery on 9/25 as well. Vin 4007. Just concerned GM did not notify owners of the earlier vins to contact their dealers for the reflash. My HVAC is a mess!

I'm trying to understand why you VIN is higher than mine. My Lola came off the line 10/07 and she's 3602.

Default Lights on the steering wheel?

Today the lights were on on the steering wheel and the controls worked.
Looks like I am starting to get intermittent issues.
There are lights on the steering wheel? Everything works on the steering wheel, but I have no lights??

To those of you noticing rattles in the rear compartment or the "hatch", the following thread may be helpful to you. I had a REALLY annoying rattle that I fixed in 5 minutes on each side as outlined in the thread. I also noticed a less annoying rattle after fixing the one in the thread. It was associated with the trim piece at the top of the rear window inside. It has a tendency to sometimes vibrate against the glass. Stuck a self adhesive piece of felt ("fuzzy" side of Velcro, black) under it...solved. My cabin is quiet, solid and serene now for over 2000 miles over all sorts of roads.

Chevy Service Department last week gave me a copy GM document #3274588 - page 7, that states the following..." Oil Pressure - Minimum - Hot, 22 psig at 1,000 rpms, 30 psig at 2,000 rpms, 33psgi at 3000 rpms. Seems to close my issue and I hope this may resove for other who have the same question.

Just a short note to say good customer service from Marissa at Chevrolet. I had reported the dimming issue that I have on my C7. Marissa has called my dealership and discussed the issue, my dealership called me and asked me to bring the car in stating they now had the fix. I have not been able to bring it in as the Nebraska roads are full of sand and gravel. When the roads clear I will bring it in. The most interesting thing is that Marissa followed up with me today ... Christmas ... asking me to follow up when I had an update. I also have a Cadillac and a Mercedes and they have never emailed me except to try to get me to buy another car. Good job Chevy!

My three issues:

1. HVAC definitely is off. It was 33 outside and when set to 75, it was blowing cool air and not very toasty in my car. I can't set my other cars to 75 without it being too hot.

2. Heated seats. Put simply: they suck. At the highest settings, it's barely warm and this was after waiting 15-20 min

3. My mirrors have two identical holes under them that look like a rock chip. At least 2 other people reported the same issue on my thread here about it: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c7-g...r-mirrors.html

Hey Sand,

These updates are not for everyone. These update are only for owners that have concerns with their HVAC or dim DIC. If you are not experiencing any concerns, then you do not need the update.

If you were built prior to 11/15, you are eligible. If you are built after 11/15 the update were already performed.

If you would like me to get into contact with your dealer, please PM me with your full VIN, mileage, address, phone number, name, and the name of your dealership. I will get a case set up for you and make sure your dealership has all the information they need.

Thanks,

Kelly J.

Hi Kelly

How can I tell when my car was built... #3872...do I need to update? The AC seems to be on, despite the AC off showing. I not have any other issues though

Any help is appreciated
