Geeez...this topic has been covered like a billion times, not to mention a video on how to "properly" close it
I think you'll find that if the trunk actually closed anywhere near as easily as shown in the video there wouldn't be a problem. I'll have to post a video of what it is really like when I get the car back from the dealer. My trunk would not close using any of the techniques that is shown in the video, not even close.
The later part shows him closing it on one knee using just one arm. I have to use two hands and put the full weight of my body into it in order for it to close.

That reminds me of the 02 Thunderbird top video from Ford.
Two ladies lifted the top off without flexing a muscle. NO WAY
IN H*** was that the real world. That top was heavy and
awkward to maneuver. My C6 trunk can be hard to close without
going to one corner and do a final push. If a video makes look
too easy it is.
So idk if this is normal but it's been annoying the hell outta me lately. When I turn the wheel anymore than a quarter turn i get this loud banging and knocking sound like my tires too big in the front. It is the worst when I'm making a u turn. Is this just the z51 tires being too big? It's sad that I can't even make a u turn without it slamming the tire into the wheel well, (at least I assume that's the sound and feel) my brothers escalade used to do that bc he put 22s on it (too big for the wheel well) but my cars factory built I haven't done anything to it! Anyone else having this problem or something I just need to get used to not being able to make a full turn.

Really? This has been discussed ad nauseam. Owner Manual 1-20.
Regardless if its been discussed or not MoabC7.. It doesn't sound anywhere near as mild as they talk about in the manual It sounds as if your front end is about to fall off. You pay 70k for a car and the sheer thought of making a tight turn at low speeds, makes you cringe.. is not what I had imagined before I bought mine.
Its doing it on mine anywhere from a half turn to full turn less than 5mph. There is no way this is normal. It seriously makes you second guess your purchase. I love my C7 and will get to the bottom of this noise. Taking it in to my Dealership Monday and wont be leaving til I get some kind of answer..
Yea I hear ya. Didn't know it was actually known in the manual. It's like having ur door fall off and being told "duh it says it's in ur owners manual" I proly wouldn't have upgraded to the bigger tires had I known this would happen every time I pull out of my driveway or make a turn without thinking. Lemme know what u find out I really hate to even let my dealers touch it if I don't have too lol. Good luck

Has nothing to do with Tires. I still have factory Z51 set up on mine and it does it horribly.
So just a known issue in general. Wow. Guess I'm stuck with making quarter turns and lookin like an idiot when tryna make a u turn. Hope u find something that'll fix it. Would b nice, but if it's in the manual doesn't sound like it's something fixable.

Got the service rear diff. mess today but went off and did not come back on. Car has 100 miles on it. My competitive driving is not engaging either.
I wonder if one has to do with the other. Car gets way out of shape active handling doesn't kick in at all. Any insight would be great. Seems like it needs a dealer reflash from reading this thread
I got my first incoming phone call this morning, and 2 issues of note:
1. I have a paired Iphone and my contact's picture was not displayed (although his name was), and
2. the sound came out of a small speaker on the A pillar. It was very difficult to hear my friend and had to ask him to repeat his word over several times.
Is this normal? I have looked in the settings to see of this can be adjusted, but so far no luck.
I have a strange one that nobody else seems to have. The know that dims the gauges and turns on the inside light does nothing on my car. Some else, which is probably related, is that my displays and gauges are bright all of the time. They never dim, ever. I guess this is okay since I avoid having the dimming at dawn and dusk like everybody else is complaining about .
I want my gauges bright all of the time. I think (hopefully) I have successfully changed the setting to make this happen, but not having read through all the replies, is this possible? My screens completly blanked out yesterday for about 10 seconds at the end of a long tunnel.

There is a setting for it somewhere, but you can increase the volume during the phone call using either the volume buttons on the wheel or the **** on the dash and it will keep that setting.

Doubt it. Something is wrong with my car. It's bright all of the time and the dimming **** does nothing. I don't think it's a setting. Something with my software makes it stuck like this. It is actually a good thing, but I will still have it looked at when I get my first oil change .
Passenger side headlight was not on. Took it to the dealer. They didn't know if it was a wiring problem, blown bulb or something else. They said "covered under warranty" and took it to fix the problem. Visited with my sales guy for an hour before we went to the shop to see what was going on. To replace the bulb requires removal of most of the fascia, wheel liner etc. This took 3 guys 4 hours. They had a lift and all the proper tools. A headlight for this is no loner a "user replaceable" item.

That doesn't make sense considering the manual states the only bulbs we should change ourselves are the ones that light up the license plate at night. You should tell them that.
Another update. So GM was supposed to overnight one of those "Exhaust valve actuators" on Tuesday. Thursday they say that they don't have any in stock, so instead they are shipping an entire exhaust assembly and it should be there Monday (sigh). Apparently they couldn't tell my mechanic for 2 days that the part there were supposed to overnight wasn't available. Really? Apparently taking the exhaust assembly apart to get the actuator out is too difficult or something. Major fail. Fail on saying they had them in stock when they didn't. Fail for not notifying the dealership for 2 days. Fail for not either taking the assembly apart and shipping the actuator or actually you know, shipping the assembly on Tuesday.
Got the car back Friday after they changed out the exhaust system. PTM still doesn't engage. Going to have to bring it back into the shop on Monday again
Driving out of a tunnel (e.g. lights were on automatically), all of a sudden all dashboard and infotainment went completely black. This lasted about 15 seconds, then everything came back on. THis has only happened the one time. 600 miles on the car.
Anyone else experienced a total instrument and infotainment blackout?
