Anyone else getting a clunk/banging noise wheel vibration when turning the wheel all the way? When I turn the steering wheel all the way such as making a U-turn or simply a sharp turn it sounds and feels like like my wheel is hitting the strut/shock.
I have the optional 19s and and 20's with the Z51 track package.
Hatch closing issue...software bugs with with the following:auto memory recall does not seem to work properly as well as easy exit recall. Remote left in vehicle seem to chirp 3 times with car running and I get out of car with remote in my left pocket..... every time??....I will update here if I find anything else.
See if using the other key fob will help your memory recall issue. I believe one is for setting 1 and the other for setting 2.
Also, my hatch has to be shoved down after closing to make it shut all the way.
American capitalism at its finest--same thing that bankrupted GM to begin with. personally id rather pay the 100K for a porsche and not deal with this ubiquitous, never-ending quality problem. unfortunately, i like the design of the cv better, so.... what to do? did i hear someone saying you get what you pay for?? 65K for a 100K car--doesnt happen. drat.
I can understand being upset about the issues we are having. It's is for sure not ideal. But let's face it this car is amazing and not just because of the price. It's just simply a great car. I mean come on. You gotta spend 140k on a porsche that competes with this car. These issues are not fun. But they will be resolved

The chirping 3 times when taking the key out of the car while the car is running irks me to no end. Called a dealer, GM customer service and read the manual, no way to turn this off. It's a pain when switching cars at 5am and waking the neighbors up or when filling up at the gas station. You would think there should be a way for this to be on/off and not on all the time.
Hello everyone, somewhat of a newbie hear (I've been reading but not posting). I had a few minor things come up that I'll share. During PDI passenger seat would move forward but not backward; same for the other seat controls - only worked in one direction. Apparently problem was a detached seat spring of some kind that the dealer was able to fix within a day. Prior to that, there was a faulty connector that had to be replaced because it would not let the dealer complete the full PDI. My car now as approximately 200 miles and there are a few annoyances. When stowing the roof panel in the hatch it tends to make an annoying squeak (like its rubbing something in a wrong way). I've tried everything to reposition, but still the squeak. Dropping the hatch does not fully close it; it would seem the hatch vents are not doing their job so I may take in to make sure nothing is wrong. Both the nav and instrument screens are not bright enough during daylight driving. In some instances both screens light up very brightly, but then fade back as though I've turned on my headlights. It bounces back and forth between this numerous times on a casual drive, so something seems to be amiss with the sensor. All minor things, but so far so good.

Well, I'll post my issues so far:
1) Can't get into PTM even though I have a Z51 and MSRC.
2) My "Malfunction Indicator Light" just turned on today steady. Owners manual says one cause could be a gas adapter left in. Never used the gas adapter, so I opened the gas panel, stuck my finger in the hole a few times, and closed the gas panel. Restarting the car then showed the indicator went away. That's not cool.
VIN #1985
Just an update. It appears there were multiple error codes in my car. They said they were communications problems, and after talking with the engineers at GM, they are sending out a "Exhaust Valve Actuator" which has resolved the issue for a few other vehicles.
Oh, and the dealer said it took like an hour per tire to get the factory tires off the rims. Apparently they are pretty darn tight.
e-Diff fluid was ok and didn't need more.
Trunk is harder to close than I anticipated considering all the talk about the special valve. Maybe I'll get around to asking them about it, but I'd rather see a couple other C7s first. Its not impossible to close, but I sure as crap can't get it to close with the palm of my hand unless I pretty much jump on it.
Yo, GM go yell at michelin to make you some Alpin PA4 ZP tires, thanks.

Vin: 6545 First Issue.
As with many posts on this thread, I to am having issues with the Center Stack LCD Screen Flickering and scrolling.
Took it to Autonation Galleria today and spoke first hand with the Mechanic, Patrick. He said said there isn't a fix for it but there is a TAC from Nov 13. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.
Second issue. My Radio Skips, just like if it were a record. Doesn't matter the station or the song, about every 15sec it skips. I switched over to Pandora, still does it. I switched to audio saved on my phone, still does it. I even went so far as to unpair my phone and it still does it.
Just got my car yesterday but things happen and you can either gripe about it or realize things happen and enjoy your new Stingray.. I choose the latter.
any news on the door rattle issue? Sound and base are not even up half way, and both doors rattle (from the outside of the car) really bad. You can't tell from the interior ,but for some reason it's obvious something is wrong from the exterior.
I will be taking it to the dealer, but wanted to know if anyone else is reporting this issue within this thread. On another thread many people are experiencing the same thing.
I don't drive my C7 often but I do have 1400 miles on it now. When I went to move it this morning I found the brakes had seized and the car would not move. I depressed the brake pedal several times and set and released the electronic brake several times to no avail. The only way I could get the car to move was to give it enough gas and with a clunk it started moving.
I've had this happen to me twice now. The first time I just let it pass thinking new brakes. Not so much now.
The only thing I can think of is a slow leak in the brake system?

Open for suggestions.
I don't think a slow leak in the brake system would cause that. It would cause a opposite effect.
Hasn't happened to me on my C7 but I've had it happen to other cars of mine when after a rain or washing the car and the car sits for a little bit the pads get stuck to the rotor and you need to start moving to free it up.
Did it happen after a rain or a car wash where the car sat for a little bit of time?

Did you wash the car before parking it? Or is it in a location where there can be rust or oxidation buildup on the rotors?
If so, this is typical.

Can't say I remember the car getting all that wet but I did drive through a light mist last time. I'll keep that in mind next time. It stays in the garage so I'll make sure the brakes are dry before it sits again.

Another update. So GM was supposed to overnight one of those "Exhaust valve actuators" on Tuesday. Thursday they say that they don't have any in stock, so instead they are shipping an entire exhaust assembly and it should be there Monday (sigh). Apparently they couldn't tell my mechanic for 2 days that the part there were supposed to overnight wasn't available. Really? Apparently taking the exhaust assembly apart to get the actuator out is too difficult or something. Major fail. Fail on saying they had them in stock when they didn't. Fail for not notifying the dealership for 2 days. Fail for not either taking the assembly apart and shipping the actuator or actually you know, shipping the assembly on Tuesday.

Thanks.
You would have to drive it to dry the rotors. Both my GT-R's and my GT500 will do this if the car isn't driven after being washed. Nissan actually has a recommendation in the owners manual to drive the car in order to dry the rotors before parking it after a wash.

Just open the door! It is HARD on the car to slam a hatch with the doors closed! Least on any C6 sounds the same on C7!
