Normal - see page 10-62 of the Owner's Manual

6. The car seems to be running hot all the time, I just got it 2 days ago and it runs at 210-215 all the time. The fan runs after the car is off, 75% of the time.

Normal temp seems to be about 218-220, although nothing is mentioned in the Owner's Manual. Mine runs at a consistent 218 or so on the analog and shows about 8-10 degrees cooler than that on the digital if I have that displayed. Also, the tach warm-up yellow and red lines don't move all the way to 6500 RPM until the coolant temp reaches close to 220. (You won't see those warm up ranges on your tach until you're past the 500 mile break-in.

8. Back hatch is uneven and shuts that way unless I put crazy force on it when shutting.

Not sure about the uneven part, but mine seems to close with little effort, even with the doors and windows closed, if I lower it gently until it's just sitting on the latch. Then it just takes a light press to close it. If I bring it down hard, it always requires a hard push to close it the rest of the way.

Hope you get the rest resolved to your satisfaction.

I mean, people are reporting that they get 3 horn chirps when they leave the remote in the car while it's running (which is normal function), and the inability to sync with a Genie garage door opener. I just can't list everything on a brief summary.

correcting you...that was me posting the 3 horn honks when getting out of car with it running but the differences is it honks when you leave with the remote not leaving it it in car.I have since found it is safety related programing to the bcm...don't like it but it is what it is .I wish I had the option of turning it off....kind of annoying also getting dirty looks from people

In manual mode - temperature set at 72 degrees - vents set at windshield & feet - initially heat seams OK - then after 10 to 15 minutes the system blows cold air - move temperature up to 74 same thing happens - OK - then cold - move up to 76 same - then 78 same!
This is driving me nuts - neber had this happen on any other car I have owned.
Any input would be welcomed.

Not wroth taking back to the dealer just for this!
Pretty sure same issue here! Vin 1356....but again still not sure....not really that cold yet but on a few chilly am's the temp setting had to be constantly played with maintain a comfortable temp in car....will report back in a few weeks when it will be much colder up here!

Default Descriptive Title

Just an observation....but this thread has gotten so large I've found it difficult to find what's here and thus not repeat issues etc.

May I suggest we all try to use the Title thread with a succinct issue statement so we can all sift through the great information contained herein?

This morning woke up and the driver door was working again. This afternoon I paired my phone........door again would not open. I tried unlocking the door with the door panel lock; no luck. Then decided to unlock using my key; door working again. (at least for now).

I noticed that when I open the driver door, engine off, the dash lights and the center information center come on. When I close the door the dash lights and center information center go off. All of this without starting the Vette. Can anyone tell me if your Corvettes do the same? I am still thinking that there is a software issue. Going back to the Dealer tomorrow morning and hope to get some answers and hopefully a fix. Yesterday the technician actually came out to the service desk and was interested in getting his hands on the Vette. He mentioned that they have not had any issues and was looking forward to trouble shooting. Personally, I would rather keep my baby and drive it
Got a call from the dealer yesterday......they have been working with GM Engineering and they have ruled out software and electrical issues. The door started working again (on it's own) and they can't figure out why the door works occasionally so they decided to open the driver door panel and try looking for issues inside the door; possibly loose wiring. I'm hoping that they are able to find the root cause and finally repair the issue........

You know, when I recently brought up just a few of these issues on another thread, one of the moderators pulled the post, called me a "troll", and told me that since I do not actually OWN a C7, I have no right to bring up anything wrong with the car...

Even with all these first year problems, I still absolutely plan to buy a C7 (can't help myself she is a beautiful work of art) and I very much appreciate all of you first year owners taking the time to share your concerns with the rest of us.

I am sorry if this thread has offended anybody and I hope I do not find myself banished from the forum as a result. In the end, I wish you all the best of luck with these magnificent machines...

I am really upset with the quality control at GM, however every time I lay eyes on my baby, even when she is all torn a part I fell in love with her all over again...Please bring her back home ASAP!

Default Heating issue (maybe)

As I reported in a previous post, I am also having issues with the heating. For whatever reason my normal approach of directing the heat to the floor was not resulting in a comfortable cabin. I then set the controls to "automatic" and used the temp control **** to set a temperature and this resulted in much improved comfort levels in the cabin. So give this a try and let me know results you experience.

Default Minor issues at 720 miles

My 7-speed C7, VIN 944 with 720 miles, has been amazing so far with no major problems but a few minor issues. 1. Burning oil smell after short fast blasts well under redline. 2. Odd clicking sound & feel from rear end when shifting from 2nd to 3rd at slow/normal speeds. 3. Hill hold brake doesn't release quick enough. Has caused me to stall the car a few times. 4. Lots of orange peel in my Cyber Gray paint. 5. Shifter & clutch not as smooth as others have claimed. Sometimes difficult to shift into reverse. 6. Instrument Cluster goes dim at dusk and inside the garage. 7. No easy entry setting. 8. Taillights and some body panels wiggle and squeak when cleaning/washing/polishing. 9. AC/Heater Blower Motor is noisy even at low settings.

What would it take for you to classify something as a major problem?
