7 cars with paint issues ("runs in paint", "touchup paint", etc.)
6 cars with rear diff/axle issues ("no fluid in diff", "service rear axle light", etc.)

A number of people have commented about the dim lighting of the Driver Information Center (DIC), which appears to be somewhat driver-dependent.
Three cars had fluid leaks.

And a lot of "issues" such as "can see license plate in backup camera", "wrinkles in leather seat", "rear tire picked up a road hazard", etc..

I'm thinking of assigning each issue a category (1,2,3...) to gauge severity.

Honestly, I'm not seeing any REAL trends of MAJOR items except for some center screen/infotainment screen problems, and a number of minor issues such as DIC lighting, trouble engaging PTM, etc..

The paint issue is a watch item, but again, there doesn't appear to be a trend.

The one thing you forgot to mention is the ebrake engaging on its own. Thats a major problem to me

I didn't forget to mention it, you're the only one who has stated it happened. cbboarder stated the "logical explanation" was that he inadvertently activated it at the stoplight.
There are a number of issues that have been reported by only one owner.

No apologies necessary, I just can't list all of the single issues that have occurred.
I mean, people are reporting that they get 3 horn chirps when they leave the remote in the car while it's running (which is normal function), and the inability to sync with a Genie garage door opener. I just can't list everything on a brief summary.

It happen to my car and almost crashed, first the rev match did not work, then the diff died (low or no oil) and as I was taking the turn the car locked the weels at 40 miles

GM send a new Diff to the dealer today and will be installed tomorrow, they haveno idea about the rest of the stuf......also missing paint problems and mirrors do not come. Back to the original position after reverse

Your car, by far, is the most bizarre entry on my database.
From the inexplicably broken windshield after the top was removed and reinstalled to the car suddenly locking up all four wheels while you were driving, nothing comes close.
Hopefully your issues will be resolved.

The order was 1) diff meltdown 2) rev match did not function properly 3) went into the turn and locked up the weels, all 3 problems with in seconds

Mine does this a lot, but not while sitting at a light. It does it when I'm driving slow, I clutch in and take the car out of gear. I do when I'm preparing to stop and put the car back into first to prepare to go again. (I almost never sit in neutral.)

Upon the shifter moving into neutral so I can shift to first once the car stops, the car revs up to 3K. This only happens when rev-matching is on.

Thats because as you move towards a gear the tranny is predicting where your gonna go so it revs the engine to match the rpms. Thats different then it happening at a stoplight

Nope. I know it will do it if I shake the shifter once in neutral. But I'm talking about simply pushing the shifter up from 4th or back from 3rd right into neutral.

Its happened to me as well but only if the car is still moving. Not at a stoplight. Thats my experience anyway

I'm almost scared to try and duplicate the scenario so I'm only using rev matching in 2nd gear and above.

On another note, I took my vehicle to the dealer yesterday and met with General and Service Managers to discuss my issues. I'm satisfied with their answers except when it comes to the paint and body panels. They're basically telling me they can't fix it without re-spraying the car (which I don't want to do). What really bothers me is they said and I quote "it's man-made so it's not going to be perfect". Really? I guess these guys have been selling GM products for too long and have become complacent with quality.

Snorman - thanks for putting the list together.

Greg

Default For tracking purposes

Just for tracking purposes, in a chat with my dealer discussing a few very minor issues, I let him know again about the "dimple" in my drivers seat, upper center.

It was there from day one and we thought it might pull out although it hasn't. That is on the list when ot goes in for initial oil change.

I already posted about the odd issue with calling for heat and having cool air blow out the dash vents with air that is luke warm at best. Never experienced this in a vehicle, although someone on an earlier post tried to explain his C5 did something similar. Didn't have this issue with my C6.

Infotainment system seems to be moddy . It will work fine one time then the next time in voice command "she" will walk me through the phone steps up to making the call and hang up or disconnect. Happened again yesterday. The next time she will understand the command such as phone or Nav, but then can't understand anything else, even though the day before I had no issue.
Just seems odd one day she understands everything perfectly and the next it is as though I am speaking a foreign language

The infotainment system does a few other querky things, but they are intermittent. Seems as though there should have been some additional pre production testing.

These are minor issues and I love my new C7, but did want to capture them on this thread for VIN 1631.

The DIC dim lighting is a problem for me. VIN #1459. Near dusk, the DIC and gauges are dim at startup and remains that way for so time. The gauges light adjustment **** does not work when this happens.

When the sun is shining thru windows the glass appears to look like it was sand blasted. Anybody else have this issue? It this normal? I have not seen this effect on my other GM vehicles? Thanks

I had water stains on my windows. A mixture or vinegar and water took care of it.
