In an earlier post, if my dealer is correct they will have upgraded infotainment units ready for install for all of us that have documented issues in February. They stated they had a bulletin from GM stating this. If I have issues with my unit prior to that, I will have it replaced and then again in February.

I haven't heard anything like that. And I've been very engaged in convos with my dealer. But if you wanna wait then you can. I'm just saying I've had the Same issues with my infotainment and it was replaced. And now no issues. If it were me I would take the parts as available. But that's your call obviously. Good luck to you either way

I've heard others say the same, mine had both numbers. Hopefully just trying your other FOB will work for you. The 1 or 2 signal has to come from the FOB itself.

Great work guys. Hopefully some senior member will eventually list all refreshes, bulletins, fixes, etc. My dealer (a nice guy) is clueless.

That would be great. On my Mercedes Forum, somebody does just that. Hopefully somebody with access to that information will step. It would be HUGE.

If you go into the convenience settings, it will do it automatically when you either open door or start ignition & when you exit car.

I recently found the GM site listed below. It allows you to enter your VIN# and it will tell you what updates are available.

irpete-Wow. Your are my hero. Very good recon! Thank you. Quick question for you...I found many items on this list associated with my VIN#. Have these updates already been completed prior to my build or are they updates needed? Thanks again.

irpete- thanks and awesome find.
I just sent this link to my dealer asking what my car VIN 1631 would be able to benefit from so I might be able to have them download the upgrades with my initial oil change.

I also saw a good many items for my VIN, but not sure which ones apply. Other than just a few minor glitches, I am just totally enjoying this incredible vehicle and this forum is so helpful to increase the enjoyment even more.

Funny...my dealer is awesome and he calls about every week to ask how things are. If I am experiencing anything he always says, I'll check on my end and you see what you can find out on the forum

Thanks. My problem is that I haven't yet been able to figure out which version of the many things listed for my VIN are already in place or new. Hopefully some of the smart people on this forum can find out a way to do this. I know on my VW Toureg there is a "secret" button sequence you can do on the Infotainment screen that will put you in a diagnostic screen which lists the versions of all the various firmware on the system. There has to be a similar one for this system. From what I've read the dealer uses the USB ports on the car to upload new Infotainment features/firmware.

I am adding a few things that I am still having intermittent issue with. Nothing big...seems like they should very easy to fix with a software reflash.

1) iPod occasionally pauses then restarts the song. This happens even if I switch different iPods. Usually restarting the car eliminates the issue.
2) Sometimes my car does not start in the default Tour mode.
3) When idling for about 10 minutes in my driveway today, the temperature indicator on my Nav screen shot up to 100 degrees (it was 64 outside). Took the car for a spin around the block and it returned to normal temperature in 3-4 minutes.

100 degrees in November in Philly. I don't think so.

The car is truly amazing...it just seems to have a few electronic bugs in it. Mechanically it is flawless and my fit and finish excellent.

I guess this is the same way one would upload new navigation maps?

VIN# 2069 The on board sensor reads out that My tires are always warm, it was 29 degrees the other day early AM in baltimore and my c7 Z51 tires were warm. Then I noticed the rear of the car become the front, ok maybe not so warm...lol
Also dealer installed front licensed plate adapter (did not work very well) as it took off and cracked the front bumber plastic black screen. I asked the near by dealer to claim it under warranty and they want me to go back were I purchased the car and have them deal with it. It sounds easy just to take care of it, but not realy want to do it.
Still having a few issues with memory electronics and a bad spot of paint.
Since GM replaced the differential (forgot to put oil in the factory ) the car does not feel the same, 2 nd gear grinds and the whole trans does not feel as tight as it was before the burn differential and the abropted stop at 40 miles on a turn locking all 4 wheels.
I requested GM to buy my car back and let me order a new one, hopefully full of oil and let's say the majority of electronics working with all of the paint on the car....well customer service answered they preferred to just keep fixing it.....love the car...do not like GM...I have a 2012 Cadilac CTS and the customer service sucks.
I am used to deal with BMW, Porsche and Subaru as well Ford and they are better and more responsive company's than GM. it's a shame that finally GM has produced a world class sport car and the customer service is not up to snuf. In 2004 I purchased a new 997 (911) and paid what I paid for the C7, with in a month the heads of the cylinders had to be replaced under warranty and be brough from Germany. Everything was handled like a glove and 2 weeks later I had my car back while I was driving the dealers 911. In one month plus of ownership I had my vette for a week...GM leaves a lot to be desired...

I see a ton of things in this system that I would greatly benefit from.

I want to take my car into the dealership and get this all done, but I have no idea if they have the updated software yet. Guess I need to call them.

Would even be better if you could call On-Star and just have all the upgrades downloaded without going to the dealer.

Great find.

I just want to be clear that I stumbled upon this website and have no inside knowledge of how it works. I also don't know if these are indeed updates needed on my car or a listing of what is already on it.

If someone finds a way to determine the version we already have on our cars then it would be easy to tell if the updates listed are new or what is already on the car.

As for the part about updating via USB here is where I found that. It's for a Sonic or Spark but it's still a MyLink system.

No worries irpete. Regardless, the recon is very interesting and I am sure will be beneficial in the future. Thanks for sharing.

Hi guys

Anyone else getting a clunk/banging noise wheel vibration when turning the wheel all the way? When I turn the steering wheel all the way such as making a U-turn or simply a sharp turn it sounds and feels like like my wheel is hitting the strut/shock.

I have the optional 19s and and 20's with the Z51 track package.
