There have been a lot of posts about the dim DIC concerns. There is an update for this if you are experiencing difficulties. Please PM me with your name, address, phone number, VIN, mileage and dealership name. I will give them a call and make sure they are all set up for you.
I am sorry I did not post on this thread, next time there is an update I will. There is a separate thread for the dim DIC and I posted on there. Sorry for my miscommunication!

I just had my car at Stingray Chevrolet down here in Florida. They weren't aware of the software upgrade initially, but I showed them the print-out on the forum. They thanked me for letting them know about it and then installed it on my car. They said they would do it on any other C7's that come in for service. They are really great there!

Would you happen to know if there is an update for the heat/cool system?
Hello everyone, I'm wondering if anyone is experiencing what I'm calling "butt dimples". Basically, I noticed two "dings" near the rear cross flag logo in about the same position on either side. I know for a fact these are not true hits because my car is garage stored, has never been parked unattended, and is covered when in storage. Further, the "dings" are too high to make sense how they would have gotten there. However, after seeing the tear down Theo Harris posted when he had is differential failure, it dawned on me that the butt dimples might be caused by the bowtie shaped support piece I've circled in the image below pushing against the fascia (unfortunately the dimples are hard to photograph on my car, but are very noticeable when viewing in the sun or reasonably close). Has anyone else seen these on their vettes or even checked for them?
Yes I have them on both sides of the flags I don't like how they look. Have u pursued it with your dealer?
I have just learned the the Rims ( 2LT ) on my C7 2LT #3658 are very fragile. While driving at 30 mph on a windy back country road I hit a pot hole on the passenger side. The hole was max 12" diameter and no more than 1.5 inches deep ( stopped and looked ). It managed to dent both the pass. front and rear rims, bounce up and hit the inner cardboard sound dampener on the rear...dislodging ( ripping ) it, folding up, and causing the rear quarter glue joint to separate ( simple fix with epoxy and clamp). This should not have happened with this little "bump" ... which if no rubbing of the cardboard was heard I would have kept going because it did not feel bad ( nice suspension...except no travel limits in the design ). The good news is that I have the Zurich tire and rim wheel hazard insurance so zero charge ...but they are saying the wheel well and fender gluing is billable ...so I am fixing that. It is akin to saying if I turn the wheel to far and the stock supplied tire hits the fender and it causes damage, it is my fault because I turned the wheel. I contend there should be a suspension travel stop ( and not the inner panel as the stop).
Do others find this suspension travel bad and rims fragile?
this "problem" is not really a problem, per se. its a consequence of owning a so-called "low-profile" tire. this comes from not having as much air in, or as much height to, the tire, versus the width. the ratio of sidewall height to width is called the aspect ratio, and the smaller the ratio, the more prone to pot hole damage. many more people purchase the road hazard insurance on these types of tires, since it is inevitable that you will blow tires and damage rims, unless you stick to the race track, for which these tires were designed.

Not yet, but I'm planning on it. I just wonder if the "fix" may make things worse given the fascia now is basically imprinted with the support brackets corners.
If you want to PM me with your info I can get a case started for you and get it sent to my internal resources.
Please provide me as many details as possible,

Hi Kelly:
After I had the update for the Dim Instrument Panel done, my issues with the Climate Control all went away. Before the update, I had to keep monkeying with the temperature dial to stay comfortable and the rear windshield tended to fog up quite a bit. After the Dim Instrument Panel update, no more problems with the Climate control. I thought at first that I was just imagining it, but, there really is a difference.
The update was also for the HVAC system. Everything should work more like your used to now.

I agree. It would require the bumper fascia be replaced. Now ,would the paint be done locally or would it come to the dealer factory painted if we could be so lucky as to have them agree to do it
I am not going with a sand /fill and respray I would leave it as it is before doing that

Spot on...had the same issue with my 997 and the C7. I will take the performance over the wheel/tire challange any day!
As I said in that post, YES! It's part of the re-flash that also addressed the dim DIC. I had it done to mine. You should contact your dealer and set an appt.

CF ROOF PROBLEM:
Roof showed splotches in the clear coat that looked like a cross between hard water stains and adhesive bubbling. Dealer buffed out the roof and they went away, but dealer is ordering me a new roof panel anyway in case they weakened the UV protectant coating. BACK HATCH INNER TRIM PROBLEM:
Hot glue spills, metal deformation, peeling paint on the inside of the back hatch where the black plastic insert (that holds the glass) is attached to the metal of the hatch. Not visible from the exterior. Dealer sanded, filled, and painted. Not picture perfect, but good enough to accept delivery. USB MEDIA DEVICE SOMETIMES NOT RECOGNIZED:
USB memory stick with approximately 6000 songs and perhaps 40GB of content inserted in center console port. Usually plays fine. But occasionally upon starting the car, the audio display tells me that no media device is found. I cannot browse, skip, or pause the music that is still playing from the media device! Resolution is to turn off car and accessory power and then restart. Has happened twice so far. I have not reported it to dealer.
Vin #1245 Crystal Red Z51: I have the same exact back hatch inner trim problem. Glue spills, metal deformation, peeling paint, etc. Dealer took photos 12-9-13 and sent to GM. Dealer has not heard anything back from GM as to resolution of this problem.
