** C7 Reported issues and resolutions thread **

There's no apparent logical order or speed in which the adjustments are made from pos. 1 or 2 & easy exit. All motors begin at the same time & shut off whenever they reach the preset location. They're not stepper motors or servos so there's no way to have them arrive at their positions sequentially or at the same time.
You can adjust the presets for the steering wheel, mirrors, bolsters, lumbar, & even the seat slide. but no adjustment for the seat pivot or backrest. If this is all you adjust, then the system should work fine. What throws a wrench into it is when the backrest is reclined along with the bottom cushion pivoted & the transition between the pos 1/2 & Easy Exit is such that the backrest contacts the carpet behind the seat before completing the transition. the seat slide or pivot motors will stall & the ECU or BCM sees this & disables this whole functionality to keep from overheating a motor & burning the car. Once you show the seat isn't obstructed by actuating that motor for 2 secs. like it's mentioned in the manual, the functionality is restored, well, at least until the next cycle where you'll start all over again.
Obviously a lot of us have a similar seating position, we have the seat in pos.1 such that there's a small gap between the backrest & the carpet. This gap widens as it goes down to the bottom of the backrest. Furthermore, our east exit preset is set so that we slide the seat all the way back & unbend our knees as well. Once the call goes to easy exit almost immediately the slide motor stalls since the top of the backrest is pushed into the carpet & the seat memory, easy exit, & all our options in the settings crap out until we actuate the slide motor like the manuals says.
So in a sense, the system does work as designed, it just needs some more design....
Finally if you can set your easy exit such that it can transition from your pos. 1 or 2 without pushing the backrest into the carpet you should be fine.

Oops.... forgot to mention that if any of your preset adjustments are right at the limit in where you here the motors beginning to stall. Even though it's not an obstruction the ECU/BCM still throws a error & disables the functionality as above. So you'd have to listen to the motors as you adjust for your preset & make sure the motors don't sound like they're under a higher than normal load.

owners manual on page 5-42 states that when using the infotainment screen - go to settings - select driving mode - there should be 3 options. 1. Engine sound management
2. Steering
3. Suspension.
I only have the first 2. No suspension option. Have contacted 2 dealers and called Chevy. Case number created. I searched but couldn't find where others have noticed or had this problem. Started a new thread as well since this one is becoming saturated. I figure either they removed the option, or my ECU was loaded with a version for cars without the magnetic ride since i don't think the non-magnetic ride with Z51 or non-Z51 is adjustable. Its a big deal considering the responsiveness of the engine (throttle mapping/timing) and the automatic transmission shift points and aggressiveness are different from touring to sport to track. Most roads here are not track suspension setting worthy and would rattle you unmercifully. No one seems to have a clue. Can anyone else with a magnetic ride confirm that this setting does or does not exist for them. If note, I would hope that this setting option is added with an ECU reflash as out of the 3 options under driving mode it is then only one I care about.

It's the weather seal that runs across the top and the top edge of the hatch. Looks like it was stretched too tight and separated. The edges of the tear look like they were pulled apart. Will be contacting a local dealer this week about it.
Any one else seen this?
You are correct! The DIC update does cover the HVAC concerns that many people have been experiencing. I was informed of that today when I came into work. I was so happy to hear that!
I am sorry for my miscommunication!
If anyone would like to have their HVAC updated, I would be more than happy to call your dealership for you.
I hope y'all have a wonderful holiday,

1. Without having to read thru 300+ posts, is this something all our C7's need?
2. If so, what do we need to give you to contact our dealer?
