Where is this original issue posted? My passenger door is occasionally getting caught underneath the front fender and makes a snapping noise when it opens. The door has since chipped, not just the paint, but the actual door.

Real shame that folks like me and a good deal of others have to chip paint, opening the passenger door for the first time on a Brand New State of the art C7?
I have the same problem going on with mine. Does anyone know if any type of service bulletin or fix has been issued by GM on this known issue?

It is shocking to me that this problem has occurred over and over, to brand new owners and yet Bowling Green is not on top of this, even 6 months later? It's sad that some of us are chipping paint on a brand new vehicle that we paid a pretty $ for as a result of a known problem See PI1220 issued by GM to dealers to resolve poor door alignment and possible rubbing.
Customer Service on this forum, perhaps you CAN ESCALATE THIS TO BOWLING GREEN! I understand that issues can arise...but this has been going on long enough for a better resolution than allowing these cars off the line and having customers chip brand new doors, that then need to be repainted! ( I chose to have the dealer realign the fender to stop the rubbing and then had chip touched up, rather than painting the whole door and risking color match issues...
There have been more than a few owners that have had a mis-aligned door to front fender issue. GM has issued this bulletin (PI1220) so that the door can be aligned correctly. If you have any rubbing between the door and the fender it is in your best interest to get it back to a certified Corvette dealer for proper alignment. There have been several owners that have had paint failures in the area of the rub. Including me.

Thank you. Was reading every post and finally found that reference. Mine is beyond a paint issue at this point, it actually chipped the door. Oddly, it doesn't happen all the time. Not sure if it's temperature, or body flex, or what. But it only does it about 1/3 to 1/2 the time.
My dealer doesn't have a body shop in house and they want to send it off to one for the alignment. Problem is we only get 3-4 months of decent drive time up here and I don't want to give mine up for any extended period. I guess I just have to suck it up and give it away for a few days.
When was your car built?

My C7 Z51 has developed a loud repetitive banging noise coming from behind the passenger compartment when in ECO mode the engine transitions to V4 mode. You can hear it even better when putting the windows down. When it transitions out of V4 mode into V8 mode, banging persists for a short while and then stops. When it goes back into V4 mode, banging about every second like a clock starts again. I can no longer drive my car in V4 mode. I have even had it persist for quite a while when it came out of V4 mode. What is this issue caused by and what is the fix?
Sounds like an exhaust system issue. There are valves that open and close when the car goes into and out of V4 mode. The valves could be hosed up (BTW, "hosed up" is an industry term)...
Mine was built end of March 2014. I believe in this thread, a museum delivery was just done 5/28, same problem!
I have found this issue dating back to Nov/Dec 2013. I have also read that on two of these situations-the dealer got new door painted from factory and installed new door. That would solve your bodywork issue.
Just have car in at dealer one day, when the new door is put on.
May want to look into with Chevy Customer service directly, if dealer is not versed-not sure why Customer Service seems absent on this issue?

Like many others, I also had seemingly unresolvable issues getting my Homelink control programmed until a very friendly lady with Genie helped me solve the problem.
Equipment involved:
*2014 Z51 Stingray with Homelink on sun visor
*Genie PowerMax 1200 garage door opener with Homelink support
I followed the instructions provided on the Homelink website with no success because the sun visor button would never flash rapidly. I also called their support number but could not actually speak to anyone because the only support available for vehicles built after 2003 is a computerized step-by-step walk through which has no way to actually solve a programming problem. I thought this was extremely poor on their part. I attempted programming with & without putting the remote into Intellicode 1 mode with no success either way.
After a few days of frustration I decided to give Genie a call with little hope of success because Homelink is not actually a Genie service. I was able to speak to an actual person , a very friendly and helpful young lady who said she would help me even though Homelink is not actually their service or product. After going through the same steps I did for the previous days without any success again; she asked me to pull the clip off the back of the Genie remote I was using in an attempt to program the sun visor button with and give her the numbers stamped onto it under the spot where the clip goes. After giving these to her she said; "Aw, there's the problem". The last numbers on my Genie are "2.0.3". She then told me she was going to send me a different remote to use in programming the Homelink in my C7 because the original Genie remote roles the Intellicode codes so fast that the sun visor button could not catch it.
So after a few days I got the promised remote (At no charge) and was able to program the sun visor Homelink on the first attempt!
The model number of the remote she sent me is "GITR-3".
Thank you for the post! Saved me a chunk of time and a lot of frustration. Cited your post in my call to Genie and they are sending out a "bowtie" to provide the link for synchronizing the Homelink and Genie transmitter.
I was just starting to wax my car and saw a cloudy area in the paint. It’s an area on the back hatch lid on the driver side between the rear fender top and the hatch. I tied to rub it out with way, but no deal. Anyone ever see this cloudy paint? It’s dull, with no gloss. I’m also seeing a small pit mark in the same area, where it looks like they missed a small amount of paint. It's one month old and has 510 miles on it. Built 5/1
Thanks Jim

Owner of two c7 lt2 7 speed stingrays both vehicles have had issues with seat cooler. My first car had lumps protruding out of the seat centered in the middle right between the cooling grid. The dealership informed me there was a proem with the foam in the seat and it was over lapped and although it had only occurred on the driver side it would only be a matter on time before it happens to the passenger side. 2nd car had same problem on passenger seat but cooling system did not cool at all light comes on, but seat back actually heated up warping the leather on the seat along with protruding material out if seat back. The second car is going to he dealership this week after speaking to gm district rep. Also hood alignment is off fiberglass fray along seems of hood and original sanded white fiberglass powder was never removed just painted over. This is my first time posting if I can figure out how to add pics I will. Also have problems With info system both cars not syncing with iPod and iPhone .

C7,Z51, M7, coupe. Took our first day trip Sunday and noticed higher temps in the footwell on the drivers side than we had in our C6. Are there any thermal blankets for the tunnel on the aftermarket like there was for the C6?
Follow up- I continued to try different settings on the HVAC and found that with the temp in "auto" and 75 degrees, I was getting cool air through the dash but heat under the dash by the drivers right leg. I continued to lower the setting one degree at a time and when I got to 72, the cool air began to flow under the dash. Must be some type of logic in the software that attempts to mix and balance air if temp is set above 72. Maybe this is something that will be addressed later but for now, I intend to fully enjoy this great machine.

I must agree with you. Something is hosed up for sure! Took the car to the dealer yesterday and had shop foreman come out for a drive with me. No doubt about it, every time car goes into V4 mode, the loud banging type noise starts again and stops when it goes back into V8 mode. I made a recording of it with my iPhone and he asked me to send it along to him so he could see what GM says about it before they try repairing it.
I own a C7 LT3 convertible that I ordered and received 1-29-13. One problem I had was front brake squeal at 3-7 MPH with light brake pressure. I took it in and they found a bulletin about this problem. It was lubricated and so far (2 weeks)0 later) all is OK.

If it comes back, just hit the brakes hard a few times from about 60 mph. Mine occasionally squeak if I haven’t used them for a few weeks like they were designed. Mine are Z51 brakes so they are more susceptible.
Well I was hoping I was going to be one of the trouble free early VIN's (970) but I guess not. I have a low rumble vibration when medium acceleration especially going 60mph to 70mph with just enough pedal to keep the NPP from opening up. I'm hoping its just the belt tensioner. Also, this morning I saw the cargo shade flapping up and down in my rear view mirror as I was driving on the freeway. I opened the hatch and found that the plastic hook on the driver's side is broken. Oh well off to the dealership I go...
Car at dealer two days, still have not diagnosed the cooling fan problem. Stated they have contacted tech. service and they are pointing to replacing the fan cooling module. Now I am told parts are hard to get and that they hope to receive the replacement part tomorrow or the will need to keep the car LONGER
Just bought vin #26751 but haven't taken delivery yet, will do that on Sunday.
After reading all the posts and taking notes, I do hope that I am not disappointed. I already feel guilty about spending all this money.
My last 3 Silverado, 10 years each on the first two and 1 year on my 2013 with "0" issues.
Before I hand over the check I will pull out my note pad. Maybe I wont have it by fathers day.

Same issue. Thank you for posting. Do you have a bulletin number (TSB)? I'm hitting a brick wall with my dealer. If you don't have the bulletin number, I'd be happy to call your dealer and ask. Could you please post or PM me? Thank you!
