** C7 Reported issues and resolutions thread **
At first I didn't buy it because this definitely feels like a cooling function so mechanic and I went for a test drive with top up and A/C set to LO. Outside temp was 87. We started the drive with the heat on the seats and after about 3-4 minutes could feel the seat heating up. Stayed this way for a few more minutes then turned on the venting function for the seats. After about 3-4 minutes could feel a cooling effect under the butt and lower back. Decided to test the effect of the cabin air so turned off the A/C and let the cabin warm. Did not seem to effect the feel of the seat. Still felt like it was cooling. Went all out and turned on the max heat in the cabin and still the seat felt like it was cooling so now I don't know what to believe.
Mine has been working for about the last week so I don't have any helpful information on sporadic operation. All systems worked while at the dealer so that's about all I can do for now.
. Anyone else have this or similar issue. The dealer will repair- that's not the issue. Just a hassle! Drdavid121

all is good ! from walking into the dealer to picking the car up was exactly a 24 hour turn around time and they did not have the part in stock they had to order it. Corvette mechanic was a really nice guy so was service advisors and manager. In fact even the sales people were really cool while I was waiting for my ride (they also offered to give me a ride home but friend was already on the way).
Big thumbs up and thank you to chevrolet of freehold (part of pine belt cars I believe)
also I have heard that the headlight issue is somewhat common

A friend of mine has a C7 that started acting up with 128miles on it. Turned out to be a broken valve spring and bent valve. GM wanted to replace the engine, but he insisted on just fixing it -- new valve and spring. Probably not a good choice since the piston must have been nicked, but he's happy now and running fine.
Your issue sounds much more serious.

Wonder if the radiator issue was not repaired properly?
What was your VIN/Build Date?
Thanks
1. There is about a 1.5" hairline stress fracture in the driver's door at the very top of the door near the handle. Problem is, the crack is starting to spread (spiderweb). I have already been in touch with my local Chevy dealer and my local body shop and I am told Chevrolet will cover the cost of repair. I am just waiting to get the car into the shop. I am not sure what they will do to fix the crack. I guess they will sand it down, apply some sort of resin to secure the crack and keep it from spreading, then repaint. I hope they do not have to repaint the entire door...

2. I am hearing a distinct "snapping" sound directly behind me whenever I raise or lower the convertible top. I will have the dealer check that out as well.
3. I can hear something rubbing in one of the front wheels when I drive slowly with the windows open. Almost sounds like something against one of the front rotors.
4. When I run the car in the garage (with the door open of course). I am hearing a distinct "clicking" sound emanating from the engine bay. I don't think it is a valve, maybe the fuel pump? I don't know. I will have that checked out as well...
Other then those few small things I LOVE THIS CAR. Once I get those issues fixed, I am looking forward to years of fun...
