Chalk up another to loosing the cooling seat function. I have an appointment with the dealer this Friday so hope it won't be a major problem to fix.

Has anyone else who had the problem gotten it fixed? If so what did it entail?
Hey there,

I’m sorry that you are experiencing troubles with the cooling seat function. Please feel free to PM us with an update after your appointment, and let us know if you have any further questions. Talk to you soon!

Gm has a fix for seat movement. Pi 1245 Dated 5/20/2014 STD shift cars must have update for seat to move when ignition bottom is turn on. Software update puts the option in for you to set this up. I had this done at Reeder Chevy dealer first one done in the country. Doc 3829637

Default Heat emanating from under dash on driver's side

Has anyone had this problem and if so, how was it corrected? With the AC cooling , after a time , you can feel heat around your face coming from below. My low volume dealer has not heard of this before. Seems as if I remember reading about this on another thread, but I can't find it.

Default Manual transmission drivers

Has anyone observed that under "braking only" in 3rd or 4th, that the engine RPM stays high and then drops, almost like an automatic transmission downshifting?
(This is before pushing in the clutch or taking shifter out of gear)

I thought at first that I might be pressing the brake and the throttle at the same time, but have since found that my foot is only on the brake.

I checked the Owners Manual, page 3-4:

So if the car is off and P-brake not set, you have to hold the button down. If it is running or P-brake is set like mine is, you just press and release the button. That's what is working intermittently on my car. The easy exit function works every time. I am going to try the auto memory recall function and see if that works.

Take it to your dealer new software update pi 1245 doc #3829637 this will put the option in to move seat when tuning on car. My car was used to test the update before releasing doc and pi.

Are you saying this actually fixes the memory seat issue?

Yes I have a m7 speed and with the new update you setup easy excess on the pm which now has on or off or when ignition bottom is turn in. You get in with the seat all the way back parking brake must be see on last time you left the car. You do not have to start the car just hit bottom seat goes forward now you can reach clutch to start car,. 5/14/2014 they were working on software update and my driller called me in for the update.
PI 1245 is the number and document # is 3829637. When update was done I on on phone with dealership saying this fix the problem. GM told me I was the first car to receive this update and that it would be in the dealers hand by the 5/20/2014

Yes I thought I was crazy because I had just come out of c6 2007 cov
6 speed paddle shaft. I notice more on a down hill going home. I may be in 3 or 4 let off of the gas and it acts like it-- well no it does speed up. I never thought to look at the rpm . will do that next out. Its not a big increase but you would think the gears would slow you down as soon as you take your foot off the paddle.

Hi Pamela & Steve:

Thank you for your update. This has been a very annoying problem. I look forward to having it resolved.

Really? That doesn't sound like much of an improvement.

Currently I Start the car and then reach over and push the seat button (non-vertically challenged driver)

So now I press the Start button...wait and then press the start button again. The only difference is I don't have to reach over to my left.

I just had this done, and you are spot on. The ignition button essentially becomes the 1 or 2 button.

This whole issue started with those who can't reach the clutch without the seat being moved forward (without having to slide forward on the seat). For them, this does fix their problem. I don't have any problem reaching the clutch, but I'll still get the update so I can just press Start and have the seats moved before I start the car.

My service advisor from Reeder Called me on the 21st saying the seat software update came in. I will take my car in when I get back on land next month.

Default Reconfigurable Instrument Cluster

Just took delivery of 2LT, Z51,M7 today. Page 5-8 talks about the reconfigurable instrument cluster. I am unable to get anything to change. It is in track mode only. I can not find the menu to link it to drive mode or change it to sport or tour. Vin 24976 built 5/8. I do get a message referring to www.johnsoncontrols.com/cluster-software. Any help will be appreciated.

Shut off car and open door which cuts the power to the radio. Close door and restart car. Hopefully this will fix it. The software in the car at times can still cause these type of gremlins. My vol buttons on steering wheel quit once. Did above and so far hasn't returned. Others have had screwy problems and shutting down and restarting have cured most of them.

Default Hands free phone issue

Infotainment screen does not return to the station playing at the end of phone call without pressing the radio button. The sound returns but the display does not. Is this a malfunction or normal for this system?
