This is common in C7 A6s and was explained in another thread by Snorman. Fuel is cut for 100ms between shifts, which enable quicker shifts. It does appears to be less noticable as miles build up, but is common and nothing to be worried about. If you look at the fast list you will see he turns in the 11s (1/4 mile) fully stock so I guess a little popping does not hurt.
Thanks, that puts me at ease. I've never had a high performance engine make that kind of noise under power without something breaking. It doesn't seem to affect the acceleration much, if any. She's still hauling a**. and back at you,
Issue: Radio would randomly change channels. Radio would also not read my iPod from any USB port. When the iPod did read, it would skip thru the songs or the song playing. Also, AC would randomly come on by itself and change settings. The temp reading and level readings would also randomly disappear. Dealer spoke with Chevy engineering and discovered one of the controller modules was dead. Part was shipped from BG to dealer. No eta on arrival. Car has been at the dealer with half the dash torn a part since Thursday.
Original Problem 10/10: Car taken to dealer. After several attempts to identify problem, tech spoke with Chevy engineering. Problem identified as defect control module for A/C and Radio. Entire driver side and center console removed from car. No dealer has stock so part being shipped from BG plant.
Update 10/14: Apparently Chevy is in NO hurry to help me get my one week old car back on the road. Part identified as bad on 10/10. Still no ETA on when part will arrive. Hey Chevy, it's called overnight shipping!!
Update 10/15: Just spoke with dealer service dept. Part arrived. Did not fix the issue. Chevy is flying in an engineer who may be here by Thursday to try and figure out what the problem is. Oh and after he figures it out, I still have to wait for a freaking part to be shipped again from BG. I've owned the car for 12 days, been in in the service dept. for the last 5 of those 12 days.
Update 10/16: Just spoke with dealer service dept. Three engineers from Chevy showed up this morning to try and figure out what the issues are with my car. Should have an update later today.
Follow-up: Dealer just called and said engineers bypassed the radio and got everything to work. Appears the central control unit controls not just radio, nav, etc, but also the AC. New one being overnighted from BG and I should have my car back by end of day tom.
Update 10/17: No show on the part. Apparently issue was identified by 11am yesterday but no one ordered the damn part until 3, after the cut off for overnight shipping. Part MIGHT be here tom. Going on 8 days now at the dealership... I've owned the car for 14 days, been in the service shop for 8.... GM...UTTER FAILURE!!
Update 10/18: Radio unit replaced. All is well in the world
Just pick up c7 with 10 miles on it. Have same problem right out of the dealership.
Mine still does it at 7000 miles now. Dealer said there's nothing to worry about so I won't as I did buy the GM warranty extension. Engine is 100K anyway. It's kind of like an afterburner then she really gets it on .
Next month I'll be able to try kicking it w/real speed at Talladega during the Vets for Vette's weekend . Probably in excess of 140mph if she'll kick down at that speed.

I have experienced frequent reboots of the infotainment system on my premier edition vert. Technicians recommended a sw upgrade, but the sw would not load. They ended up replacing the HdMI bridge(?) So far 4 days later and all is well. Otherwise wonderful car, love the limerock green color
Brand new C7 which I picked up at the Museum last week. The driver side window seems to me mounted a bit further forward than the passenger side window - comparing the rear window edge to the small rear side window. The driver side window - when opening the door and the window comes down 1/4 inch still touches the front pillar and scrapes. Is this the first case of this? Do anyone know if there are adjustment capabilities inside the door to move the entire window system further rearwards? Help as I do not want to scrape the front pillar.

Yes it is adjustable, take it to the dealer and they will fix it.
I have noticed that the lights on the temperature adjusting **** that show the temperature setting are going out after 2 weeks of driving this car. Any idea of why? Now only part of the temperature shows up.
Also, in my convert, you have to really slam the partition snaps in the trunk to get it to register when the partitions are closed so that the top can be lowered. Just pushing them in until they snap is not enough, you have to put a collar around the snaps and bang it close hard to get the top to be able to be lowered. Still works, but a pain. Should not be this hard.

Fuel Injectors....from the day I took delivery, there was a ticking sound, quite loud all the time when driving, faster when excelerating, took it into the dealer and they said it's just the fuel injectors and that the sound is normal and all of these do it. It's a really loud ticking sound, just doesn't seem normal to me, can't remember any of my other vettes doing this, you can hear it when the car is just idling and the hood up also. Any feedback? thanks, Jen

This is the 1st Vette with direct injection. Fuel is sprayed into the cylinder when the piston is near the top of its stroke, much higher pressure than previous manifold injection. As I recall 3000 psi so the injectors must be much stronger. The pump is also noisy and is in the lifter valley.
However can't say I have heard excess "ticking." Car sounds pretty quiet at idle.
My A/C Compressor works fine, but it is noisy. More noticeable at idle and slow start accelerations.
It sounds like the old Ford power steering pumps of the 1980's. Kind of a moaning sound. Turn off the A/C and noise is gone.
My 2013 Camaro SS I traded in for my C7 had zero compressor noise.
Anyone else out there notice this?
Yep, I have the same grrr'ing sound from a/c compressor. Was planning on bringing it up at first oil change, along with black screen of death problem.

Bought a 2014 stingray , I live in the northeast up state new York. Found that a leaking half shaft seal in the rear dif. was defective .The dealer did replace it . So far all good.

Just had the car out so decided to listen more carefully. I usually have the radio playing! Stopped the car and opened the hood with it idling. There are no ticking sounds. The engine is quiet. I have had mine since early October but don’t see how that should matter. I’d fine another C7 and compare side by side.
My name is Mark Adams and I need some help to coordinate the instrument cluster/HVAC flash update. My local dealer doesn't know how to perform the upgrade, and I believe you have helped other forum members coordinate this update through local dealers.
Here is my information below. Any help you can provide to my dealer would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Mark,
I have responded to your private message! Let me know if it doesn’t come through for some reason.

I may see you a Dega next month ... will be driving a CRM Z51.
What was the fix for your car? Were they able to resolve the problem.
Mine goes in and recieves a new unit in two days.
Heya KND, yep its all fixed. They told me they needed to reset the "Logic controller". They pulled a fuse, waited 10 mins, replaced the fuse and restarted the thing up. Its been working fine since.
Took them about 20 mins but theyre not sure what tripped it off so if it happens again, theyll spend more time tracking down the issue
